I really hope that Stark will repair batteries like this!

HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

You are asking for quite some trust here. Can you please explain why you think that? Do you feel like commenting something about the frame and swingarm, too? Press release tests and lot of videos in which people rode it hard successfully, back then, was way better than the unknown to me. Here...

HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

I don't know those suspensions and I can't confirm nor deny what you have written, but surely the user wants to be reassured that the bike can be considered capable of withstanding violent landings before committing to some big jumps. I know that both Alta and Stark have done tests like the...

HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

I've read the datasheet: 78 V, so they should have chosen their name better: HVR stands for High Voltage Racing. One advantage of a bike like this compared to a conversion is that it has been done neatly from people who presumably have experience; the company may be new (I don't know) but the...

Winter time - keeping the battery safe

Not tried anything like that, since in my garage the temperature is always warm enough. Whatever you choose to do, if I were in your shoes, in the first hours and then in the first days after having done it, I would check that the temperature doesn't become too hot, especially if the heating...

Stark My Stark showed up at dealer today

I keep it in standby mode, i.e. with a flashing red light. Take a look at here.

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

Well, the patent file date is from 2022. I think those patents are for what we already have on our Vargs; in case you've never noticed the valve, look between the orange power connector and the bus connector of the battery.

    Stark Varg SM

That Jaume Gaya is indeed a top level rider; here are some results from the 2024 Supermoto of Nations (dry race so the laptimes were not affected by weird conditions); just select the event S1oN Carole. In qualifying he did 1:40.5 while Schmidt 1:37.2, so pretty good. Maybe you don't know who...

Arkenstone keeps turning on with bike off

I don't know about the Arkenstone, but the original Stark phone is directional: there is actually a recess in the top left of the docking station barpad foam where the buttons are supposed to rest and as far as I remember, the phone charges only if oriented correctly.

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

@ Beagle: yes, actually in my evaluation there was a mistake: the current cells have only one side contacting the magnesium case and, considering that and considering that they wouldn't arrange 26120 cells side by side like that, the casting modulus is better for 26120 cells.

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

Personally, I can't really predict whether it will be lighter with the same energy, or more energetic with the same weight or something in between. They seem to behave following logic and considering past experience, so they may even have reasons to think it's better to have more weight and even...

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

Remember when we discussed about the Molicel M65A having a higher gravimetric energy density at the expense of the current?... Talking about heat dissipation, the volume to surface ratio is higher in a 26120 cell: 5.9 vs 4.6. I am using an approach similar to the casting modulus used in...

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

@Beagle: IMHO it should absolutely be opened already now and I guess that you would like to be the thread opener. Thanks for having shared this revolutionary piece of news.

Flux Performance - eMX startup from Europe

I live in a small suburban town and I can definitely say that motorcycles do bother me with noise; i appreciated when some nights ago I heard the neighbour coming home and turning the engine off sooner and then coasting to his gate. Unfortunately, most of the people don't care and, on the...

    Kayo eC2

Exactly. For me, it can surely be an interesting project that, if I prioritized it more, could have the money and time to be accomplished mostly for the satisfaction and the learning involved. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it would work in practice. At least here in Europe, it would be very hard...

    RFN SX-e60

Or just use KYB? Typically even the giants don't develop their own suspensions and use suppliers. Aside from Talaria, the only old, well known brand, maybe not a giant, that has their suspensions developed by theirselves is TM with their rear shock (that I tried on a TM300 of a guy I know and it...

The FiM has Neutered the Stark for WSX

Here are the results from Vancouver. This time Zaragoza's best time in SX1 has been 56.579 in race 3 and Hicks' best has been 56.340 in race 1: still faster in SX2.

    Yamaha YE-01

Exactly: one thing is saying that it works, another is to state that, by doing a conversion, an average Joe like me can rely on a "bulletproof frame", like it should be better than a Varg with its newer design. That ICE frame has proven to be bulletproof for a different use. Maybe some pros have...

    Yamaha YE-01

SInce the above makes sense I am surprised of the following: Not saying that it's false, it just sounds odd. The typical engine mounts on a motocross bikes are: • one coaxial with the swingarm axle, • one at the cylinder or cylinder head • one or more at the crankcases and according to a book...
