Button Unit get Stuck with dirt, Varg EX and MX

Some users have suggested that, if you have the 10 mm allen key to remove the rear wheel, you won't need any tool to open the chain since you can just slide it off the wheel. Wise decision.

Official video tutorial about cleaning the Varg

I wash the bike at the track when I finish riding; it also air dries on the trailer and when I'm home it's already pretty dry. When they only have pressure washers I keep the nozzle at a big distance and then the bike doesn't get clean well but I prefer it a little dirty than damaged. Most of...

Varg ridden at 6,700 m = 22,000 ft above sea level

It happened on the Los Ojos del Salado active volcano, located in the Argentina-Chile border. Here is the video: Here is an article in which you can see better that sort of blanket on the battery that reminds me of the ones used on space vehicles: according to an AI, it's called Multi Layer...

    Tubeless?

Cool and I like the detail of the Gorilla tape patches, just inspect it every tyre change: some people have reported that after years the glue of duct tapes and similar stuff applied to rims tends to somehow decay and make a mess and therefore they have to clean it and reapply the tape; they say...

If you magnify these pictures enough, you will notice both Humphrey and Zaragoza using hand operated rear brakes with dual caliper systems: link for Humphrey link for Zaragoza

General mountain biking as a cross training for motocross

Thank you for sharing this. So basically you are a high level cyclist who doesn't seem to gain MX skills from cycling. Maybe it's subjective, but @Lost is in a similar situation and he doesn't see mountain biking as a suitable activity either. Wow, I wish I had those cycling skills!

General mountain biking as a cross training for motocross

I guess that cornering is pretty similar except for rutted corners since we don't find deep ruts in those trails like we do in MX. The challenge of managing the weight bias and the grip should be similar. Talking about grip, those mountain bike tyres have pretty small knobs compared to MX tyres...

The FiM has Neutered the Stark for WSX

As far as I've seen, overall the best laptime of the whole Swedish event is 47.54 from Stark's Michael Hicks in SX2 in race 1. He finished 4th/3rd/4th. Pretty good! The variation in laptimes makes me thinking that the track conditions were changing. Race Day Live - FIM World Supercross Championship

General mountain biking as a cross training for motocross

Ok, I can agree on the fitness part, you can pedal keeping the HR in zone 2 and have the aerobic baseline. I actually prefer doing that on a stationary bike while playing a driving simulator to keep my brain trained to react sharply even under effort. More of this theory of mine here. What I...

General mountain biking as a cross training for motocross

I have an MX that I use for motocross only. I am a slow rider and I think that my problem is mostly skills, I don't feel unfit. Surely fitness is something that is never enough but IMO the limiting factor for me is primarily the skills. I hoped to receive different answers since AJ Catanzaro...

General mountain biking as a cross training for motocross

My situation and my perspective; I understand you'll skip this if it's too long to read: I firmly believe that the first problem of motorsport is the lack of training due to the time and money involved, hence why I wanted an electric motorcoss bike: less time spent for maintenance (and hopefully...

Solved HELP Power jerking after Drivetrain replacement (GEN2)

Maybe they made the frame some months ago, kept it in their warehouse and they installed a battery more recently.

Solved HELP Power jerking after Drivetrain replacement (GEN2)

They surely know how to preserve the battery. If the expiry date of the new bike isn't worse than the original one that is going to be replaced, it seems acceptable. If I recall correctly, you've said that you have ridden your bike for something like 160 hours; in that case, it's quite a deal...

Power Modes: What do you use?

For low level motocross, I mainly use three non-advanced maps, all with 40% regen braking: • 42 HP for when the track is slippery or very worn, • 48 HP is the usual map, • 51 HP is for when I feel that the flow in the track is unusually good. The first times I used the bike, since the power...

    Advance modes for MX1.0

I've noticed an interesting comment from the official Stark Future YouTube channel under their new video about how to wash the bike: link to highlighted comment. They say they expect to deliver the update for advanced features for the 1.0 this month or maybe January.

Official video tutorial about cleaning the Varg

    • If you don't wash the surfaces under the plastics by pouring water onto them like they do here, IMO it will be very hard to clean the connectors properly and therefore it will be easy for dirt to end up into the connectors in case you want to disconnect them for some reasons, like periodic...

    Don's lightweight conversions

I've never converted any bike but I think I know the answer: if it's a non swappable battery, it has to have a shape that lets you install it into the frame when you build the bike; if it' a swappable battery, it should also be easy to install onto and uninstall from the bike. Don't you guys...

Are you faster on the Varg

I've never measured laptimes but I have the feeling that I'm faster especially because I ride it more. My theory is this: motocross is a time and money consuming activity and that's why I, like many people, don't ride as much as I'd like to; in my case, not even half as much as I'd like to...
