I hear what you're saying but its not really an issue for me. My KTM 500 weighs 2 lbs more than my 350. But the 350 feels 20lbs lighter...

ASurely the torque at the wheel depends on gearing, but it doesn't depend on the wheel diameter. The force transimtted to the ground does...
