Consider the peg-grabbing mounts. A couple of my peeps around here have them and they're quite quick and reliable. In a trailer you won't even need extra straps, I think.
I think the best long term option is plastic with in-molded rubber like e.g. Acerbis does. I've decided to make myself a set from CF, work in progress ;)
I got my bike running today and I'm very happy with the cable throttle feel. I just need to replace the cable because the one i have is slightly damaged.
One thing you haven't mentioned trying is a different pulley. Since it's an easily replaceable element, it would be very easy to 3D-print a...
Thanks for the replies!
No, they don't. I initially assumed I can make completely flat plates work. And maybe I still can?
If you grind a bit of the casing on the inside, you can fit the plate to it from inside. Sorry for the crap pic, but it's the only one I have at hand when writing this...
Hey, a quick Q from me - to OP or Don. How on earth are you able to
1) keep the left-side mount on the outside of QS138 70H
2) fit it into a 200x CRF frame
3) keep a proper chainline?
I moved the engine as far left as possible, slid the sprocket on the shaft as far left to the notch as...
If he wanted to do a skid turn, he would have laid the bike to the side, not kept it vertical. If he wanted to do a standing pivot turn, he miscalculated the distance to the beta, as the front wheel contacted it before it was even in the air.
Either that, or he was paid to show that SV is...
Yeah, I second what fmxxx666 said; the only element that will limit your system voltage will practically be your controller. The QS138 will happily run at 110V or more.
> Little surprised that he only got 44AH with this big boy battery.
Mine with Sanyo cells will be similar capacity. The easiest way to get decent kWh ratings regardless of voltage is to simply use better cells. With higher voltage the currents can drop slightly, so large pouch cells like e66a...
For reference, here's how the battery for my 250 is laid out:
It's 20s20p with 18650. Disclaimer: I haven't actually tried putting it in, as the design was made by the person I bought the project from mid-way. Supposedly the test cardboard model they tried did indeed fit. I want to make the...
Thanks a bunch, Don! I was planning to only use two mounts, but if they're not enough, I'll definitely move to three. Thanks for the files as well. I've noticed the one you have has a 240mm swingarm-to-engine mount distance, while i measured at 232. I'll print them and put on a piece of...
The cost would end up being more or less the same (machining included - either can be cut on plasma, water or CNC in this form easily), but for the same durability, you'd need to go with at least 3mm steel like in the Lithium Kings mount which would be heavier than 6mm aluminium. Plus if not...
Thanks for posting the build sheet. I'm actually building a CRF250 right now as well. My costs so far are 2900 eur for the bike without the ICE, but with motor, controller, and I took over the battery order for it. Technically should be ready to go, practically I'm invested about 400 eur extra...
