    Alta Redshift 144

I need a working display. Mine does not toggle miles/hours

    Alta Redshift 144

Got my kickstand on Ebay from Liquid Performance. Message them if you don’t see the listing, the kickstand is super nice quality compared to a Varg. It uses coaxial springs within the kickstand leg. As if a bunch of California engineers thought about it for a long time :)

Varg Hirchmann throttle - same as Alta throttle?

the 6-pin connectors and pinout are different (Stark is a JST-JWPF and the Alta is a connecter I don't recognize they use on their harness) - I am hopeful and it seems logical that Hirschmann would make the same throttle for both. I documented the Alta pinout. Plan on testing the Stark throttle...

Stark Varg EX in excessive heat.

Not well. Heart rate reached 200BPM. I thought i was dying. The worst part was receiving a polyester T-Shirt from the contest sponsor a month later. I hate polyester.

My MXR to EXR conversion / lighting install

In my experience, that aux power outlet has a super narrow window of min to max power and if outside those points the ACP will shut down the bike. Short answer after a ton of aggravation: “don’t touch it” :) But if u insist then definitely change the super crappy connector they chose, the...

My MXR to EXR conversion / lighting install

Excellent documentation. I hope that helps somebody. I made my MXR street legal by adding the front and rear wiring harness and installing stock rear lighting and brackets. Never found the black plastic decorative “tail” so was forced to fab one out of carbon fiber. Used a Baja Squadron...

    Varg charging from generator.

If I recall correctly, my Varg charge monitor consistently displays current power at 3100 watts even though I set it to the max 3300 watts... so unless they do not include other things that get power like the computers and the cooling fan, etc... 3100Watts / 240VAC = 12.91 Amps.

    Varg charging from generator.

I got the Briggs & Stratton QS6500 lots of Alta owners recommended (not sold in CA so I bought it used, had it shipped, and threw a few hundred into it to bring it back up to factory specs and added a mechanical hour meter). ~100bs and charges the Varg at full power at 50% load. If I ever have...

    General EBMX X-9000 WOES

Update- disassembled the throttle and the potentiometer is sealed plastic with the wires glued in Silastic. I’ll call them and ask if these parts are sold separately (would be stunned if yes) before buying another throttle.

Check your Stark Varg charger plug

It’s more a question of: who didn’t receive an improperly wired cable and plug. Seems that all of them with hand wired cord caps used the wrong color code wires and improperly attached cord cap. The chances of Alta allowing that nonsense were probably zero.

    General EBMX X-9000 WOES

Merlin, fixed it by replacing the Domino. The first few degrees of twist on the old Domino caused very unstable motor output which corresponded with the app diagnostics throttle voltage being erratic. Will look at how much it is possible to take apart the bad throttle to spray some contact...

    General EBMX X-9000 WOES

Merlin, just installed a x9000 on my LB w/ existing domino analog throttle. Found the throttle voltage jumps around and the acceleration is extremely jumpy on the stand. Going to try a spare Domino and also a cheap throttle to see if they help. Something else I can try in the app?

Check your Stark Varg charger plug

please confirm: Green and white wires attach to terminals labeled X & Y (the 2 brass colored terminals) - does not matter which wires attach X or Y Black wire is ground - the green terminal the Neutral pin - the silver colored screw - is not attached The wire insulation color choices are wrong...
