Yeah the grip is amazing on this track and it's probably because the karts lay so much rubber on the track.
It was about 80F and lots of breeze it wasn't too bad with leathers. If it's really hot I will wear my dirtbike gear. But yeah I was pretty tired after I must have been sweating a lot...
Time to go home
Sonoma Karting Center has changed a bit since the last time I was here. The building changed a bit. They got rid of the nice restroom trailer but at least they paved the whole pit area now. No more pitting on gravel.
Some pictures at the track
After first session
This battery overheated. Really bad for the controller because it just suddenly cut power

Redshift - Looks like the Redshift is doing around a 1:07
Light Bee - Looks like the Light Bee is doing 1:10

There was a 12 Hour Endurance race that took place at Desert Park Raceway on May 24-25, 2025. I wasn't endurance racing the WR250E but I took it so I can see how well it does on a tighter kart track. I've only raced it on a nascar oval supermoto race and it doesn't not like that highspeed...

There are 2 situations where I can overheat a motor repeated hillclimbs and supermoto racing. Hillclimbs because you are putting a lot of load and not going that fast. Lugging the motor causes it to overheat and holding the throttle wide open then slowing down and speeding back up again.
