Update on the bike. The battery box is almost finished. A little disappointed how ugly my welds look. Started working on the mounting point for the battery. Also 3D printed the cover for the chaincase.
I’m currently looking for a thermally conducutive pad or foam so I can connect the cell to...
That was one of the reason I wanted to use immersion cooling. I saw somewhere that if a thermal runaway was to happen it would stop to the single cell because the coolant would extinguish it. Actually I would like if tou would tell me about that stuff.
The reason of this fire was that I was using Chinese bms with bypassed discharge. Basically no protection to the cells if the voltage get too low on one cell group. This time I am using the ennoid bms in charge and discharge.
This was the easiest and cheapest way to make the reduction. Also this way I can easily change the gearing ratio. Snowmobile all use this type of tensioner with absolutely no problems. Also this will be in an oil bath
Well thanks for all this information! It is the first time I see someone with real life experience with immersion cooling.
That kind of make me think I do not want to use this then. But then I still need to design a new type of active cooling for my pack.
For the suspension I initially bought the fork for my ktm and I liked them. I kept them when I sold the bike. Since the fork was wp I wanted the rear to be also. As a rider I am picky with my forks. The rear shock I almost never turn a clicker. And the aer48 is the best air fork out there.
Hi, wanted to show the bike I am currently working on.
The goal is to be competitiv against 450cc bike in motocross racing.
I basicly built a complete brand new bike from part on ebay and marketplace. Everything is brand new.
2018 crf250r frame
2021 crf450r swingarm
alta mxr forks and shock...
This is how my bms was wired too. But the problem is if one p-group get out of balance the bms will not disconnect the battery. This is what happened to my battery.
The problem with the ant bms is that even the 400 amp one is not enought. On the rmz I was draining 450 amp from the battery and on the next one I plan on draining around 600 to 700 amp. And I already have the fardriver controller I am waiting on tool to get this project going.
