:ROFLMAO: Good you didn't have to issue an Altamatum

Milandr Power Machines - A Russian Alta

Believe the clutch actuates re-gen, based on some video translations. Everything I read / see on this seems to enforce that these bikes are strictly concepts and will not be widely available, which is a bummer. Who knows, though.

Milandr Power Machines - A Russian Alta

Based on recent social media activity, looks like they've added cooling:

    Gas Gas

Indeed. Believe Gas Gas' relationship with Torrot was of some interest to KTM - Gas Gas already had eBike for kids and electric trials bike built on the Torrot platform.

Why haven't one of the major mfr's released an Alta comparable full sized dirt bike yet?

Thanks for the reply, @Sumik! If you pass through the NYC area, I'll gladly buy you a coffee, breakfast sandwich, beer, etc.

@Sumik Out of curiosity, how hypothetical is this hypothetical?

My money (hope) is on Yamaha, since I do like the brand and their trials concept is awesome. They've also been a leader in the electric, pedal-assist market for some time (nearly 30 years). Also, the tail-end of this video from a couple of years ago:

    Cake Kalk OR

I feel like, sadly, Alta's shuttering likely made Zero even more fearful of reentering the offroad market. Alta's execution was impeccable, and not so easy for anyone else (even Zero) to replicate without significant effort. Hopefully someone will try again sometime. I commend Sur Ron, though...

    Cake Kalk OR

Indeed, still a very tough sell, especially with Sur Ron pricing so much more aggressively. For what it is, I like the design, and have had the chance to demo in-person. But make no mistake; you're not lining up for Erzberg on a Cake.

    Cake Kalk OR

Cake just rolled out their Kalk INK, which strips out the ohlins and different wheel sets for $3,500 in saving ($9.5k all in). Personally, I really the black.

Torp Motors, filed under "Cake Kalk & Alternatives"

Just announced today from Torp Motors out of Croatia Nice design, but would want more rear wheel covering. Between this, Cake Kalks, Light Bee, Ubco, Kuberg, some publisher could have fun with an ultralight electric shootout.
