Ex light on Mx

Hi All, first time posting here, and I need some help with installation of the rear light on an Mx bike. I bought the fender and the light and it fits as it should.
I'm using an auxiliary battery for the lights, and the problem I have is that there are higo connectors but I don't see a way to identify which connectors are positive, negative and stop light. Stark future will not help unfortunately - I was told to buy enduro model...

I pretty much think the big cable is plus and min. The other ones get a signal from the handlebarswitch or VCU getting its orders from the switch.
I think the best bet would be to go for an entire wiring harnas and connect that to a battery.
However not 100% sure if the VCU is involved.

It would be hard to try on an EX though since without the VCU the lights won't turn on because the battery does not engage without.

Thanks Erwin. I thought about the complete harness but stark won't even confirm if it fits, plus the harness is expensive.
I agree, the bigger plug looks like power but there are 3 more little poms inside. I'm not familiar with those higo connectors so I guess I will have to play with them to figure out what's what.

The wiring harnas will not fit to your battery. So will not work. Maybe a 12V battery wil do, but maybe not because it needs the VCU.

Another problem is the handler switch connects to the phone mount of the EX. Wich you would also need. That way your phone would no longe connect with your bike.

The MX motor will not connect with the EX battery and the other way around. I think in the end to get this working as OEM you might end up being almost cheaper to just buy an EX.

Seems like a fun project to try to power it with a drill battery etc. seems like plus and minus to the cable then maybe right/left turn signal blue connectors and brake as the third red connector? Just a guess on my part.

Thanks guys, didn't have time to play with it properly but I'm confident I will make it work. I will report back soon. I know I'm not the only one fitting lights to an Mx bike...

Blue are the turning lights, I would assume red is the rear light, watch from 17 min

On the European bikes the red connector is used for the required separate license plate lighting. So probably 12V permanently like the rear light.

At a price of around 150€ the rear light seems pretty expensive for just a few LEDs and connectors, so I wouldn't completely rule out a simple CAN interface. Nevertheless my approach would be just 12V to the big pins on the 5-pin connector and I assume once you get the right polarity the rear light would illuminate. Then either plus or ground from the same power source to the 3 smaller pins and that should trigger the internal brake light and left/right indicator. LEDs won't light without the right polarity, but they won't burn out either, so it should be pretty safe even if it is CAN unless you put 12V and ground to the smaller pins at the same time!
