Whats the betting that the EX isn't actually road legal in Montenegro? Reason I say this is the EX wasn't even legal in Spain until, IIRC the 10th April. 10 days after I received mine. It then took Stark a further 25 days to sort my paperwork.

OR

You are one of a very few that purchased within your region.

Either way, I'd look into local laws to see if you can force their hand.

No, being road legal doesn't matter at this point.

I'm trying to place an order, and I need a price without VAT because this country is outside of the EU and VAT system.
There's nothing unusual about that, but the Stark bot can't seem to grasp it.

That's odd, they do have dealers in European countries not belonging to the EU (Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Serbia...).
Regarding VAT, the only question they're asking for ordering is if you're buying for yourself (meaning paying VAT) or for a company (no VAT) so that must be the issue.
Are motorcycles exempted from VAT in Montenegro?

From my understanding Stark doesn't remove the VAT upon purchase. You have to claim it back after delivery. Theres a memeber here going through that at the moment as he's based in the UK.

That's what's odd about it. They even suggested the dealer in Serbia to whom they must sell without the VAT in the first place.
Montenegro has 21% VAT on everything just like in the EU. Even the local currency is Euro.

I've bought a few motorcycles from the EU. They send me an invoice ex-VAT, I wire the money and that's it. I deal with our own dear taxman when the goods arrive.

I've seen that.
UK is still a bit complicated because of Brexit, but there was also the same report from Poland which is in the EU.
From bookkeeping point of view it is actually easier for the seller to sell ex-Vat than to deal with different VAT rates across EU like in those cases.

Funny thing is that my Benjamin-bot doesn't seem to work weekends. :)

Confusing... at that point you could try contacting a real human being at a Serbian dealer?

I got my Varg this past week, and other than it falling over in the delivery truck it has gone smooth. Really impressed with it so far. I think I may be missing 3 things though.

Horn kit
Rear brake kit
Phone cord

I didn't receive a horn kit, shouldn't the US bikes have this? The horn still works through the phone though.
I was under the impression that a rear hand brake kit was being included on the US bikes as well?
I believe I saw some mention of a cord for the phone?

thanks all!

the phone cord should be in the box attached under the lid. Stealth little box under there. Also, there is no physical horn and you had to specify that you wanted a rear hand break for them to throw it in for free. Otherwise just the foot break.

I'm in LA and still haven't heard from any delivery service (facepalm). It's literally taking longer to get across town than it does for a container ship to make it from Spain to Los Angeles.
I’m in the same boat. Waiting on my LA delivery and no one has reached out except for the delivery broker a few weeks ago. Annoying.

Thanks for the info, but what lid are you referencing?

I had an issue where on import, Stark were supposed to pay VAT but did not.
I questioned this and they told me I would need to pay, then claim it back from Stark.
Stark are VAT registered in UK, so they ended up honoring the original agreement to pay the VAT, so I did not need to pay and claim, in the end.
