Not only was this dangerous but has NEVER happened to any of the 20 so bikes I’ve owned. Lasted about 1.5 miles and with no warning it just cut off. I was able to get it going again but this time for maybe a mile and then maybe a half a mile and then again a quarter and then eventually I just couldn’t make it more than a few feet. Of course it’s 95° here so that wasn’t a pleasant push home. I suppose it could be a loose wire or a possible fan issue but the battery had plenty of life so that should not have been an issue. Needless to say I’m not very happy right now with this purchase.

You may qualify for the trophy for the first production electeric bike that cut off unexpectedly! Luckily, this happened on a flat ground and not far away from your house.

Alta Motors said they hurt a test rider or two when their early development bikes cut off in rhythm sections. This can happen, especially on early development software.

With ICE bikes we can run out of gas on any given day if you are pushing the limits of low weight and performance. Or the motor can blow up. Things like these do not happen on electric bikes often. A loose wire should show itself pretty early, which it did.

Please talk to Stark to figure it out and let us know. Thanks!

Same thing happened to a buddy of mine. That was two months ago. Still in the shop messing with it.
Hopefully yours is a simple fix. Keep us posted. Sucks. Mine has been good, really enjoying it.

Yeah i had an MX previously and it also did this once or twice. But it was after I rode it full throttle on the highway for about 15 minutes, so I figured that’s normal, it overheated? But my EX won’t go more than 250 feet sometimes. I’m sure they’ll get it fixed, does suck though

Very similar situation on my EX. Turned out to be a broken wire inside the wire bundle cable of the Wireless Charging Module that all the wires plug into. I replaced the Module, and the bike runs perfect again. Stark said they would elevate the problem
