Display Guard - Protect it from crashes!

Yes, yours is one of three orders that have been sitting. Not being involved directly, sometimes things do't go as I would do them. Rest assured I will be over there checking and will get it done. Have you heard the expression "like herding cats"? Sorry for the delay, especially since they...

Display Guard - Protect it from crashes!

Seeing Mark S's post I went over to Keith's to check on things. Keith has been moving in some new equipment and was sort of in a tizzy. He was thinking his order from anodizing was what he was waiting for until I reminded him the orders were all MX which was in stock. He assured me they will...

Who did the work for you and how much customization would they let you do for the price?

    Is this an issue?

A thought, glue it together and use it as a donor for someone to fabricate new ones - plastic, carbon, or aluminum.

    Is this an issue?

Glad to hear you will be OK. As a friend once said after breaking off the rear fender of his Berg...."It's only plastic."

Display Guard - Protect it from crashes!

I tried to make it as flexible as possible to fit whatever position on the triple clamp a rider wanted to use. Use the length you need and trim the rest away.

Display Guard - Protect it from crashes!

Hey Strider, You can go ahead and trim off excess on the tabs. They are long so riders can use the different positions on the triple clamps. You can even use it without the tabs but maximum protection is achieved by tying then to the handlebar clamps as well. Enjoy.

No Trip Meter? (A cell phone mount option)

Very nice job of engineering! It takes all of us looking at the problems and solving them, now that we are on our own. These bikes are worth the effort.

Newest Alta add on - a horn!

I had to put one on my MX to make it street legal. It is electric with a handlebar switch and is mounted on the upper mount for the shroud. Probably cost a total of $20 for the parts on eBay.

No Trip Meter? (A cell phone mount option)

Something I was going to do is get a cheap bicycle speedo and mount it for the trip function. Shouldn't take too much.

Ready for a 24 Hr Race

Looks really good. You will be showing the others what they are missing not having an Alta. Best of luck.

    Tubliss on Front Wheels

Similar here with 110 inner and usually 9-10 outer in front and 4-8 outer on the rear. In CO I will take it up to 10-12 on the rear. Traction is great.

Little brass thread inserts in plastic -- How to fix

Little brass thread inserts in plastic -- How to fix

I had problems and took a different approach. I drilled a cross hole 1/16" diameter about 1/16" away from where the bottom edge of the brass insert would be located. I inserted a piece of 1/16" brass brazing rod into the hole going through the end of the insert and locking it in position...

    Tubliss on Front Wheels

I usually run between 10 and never more than 15 in the front for woods riding. Three years ago I picked up a nail in the Colorado San Juans. I use the Tubeliss system. The hole was a tear and after three attempts to plug it I gave up and ran it flat. For the next five days I rode the rocks...
