Do stock Kawasakis, Honda & Yamaha, also require such work on the stock suspension? Or, are they MX ready (more or less) from the factory?

I don't ride motocross, and what you say, sounds very reasonable. However, reading the posts here, Someone can get the impression that the stock Redshift is almost un-ridable in stock form.

Based on your requirements, I'd check before the purchase, the price and time involved in making the MXR street legal (adding lights, mirrors, registration...). There is plenty of info in this forum. If it does not require you to go out of your way, go with the MXR. Otherwise, EXR it is...

If you are going to use the bike for fast on road rides, I'd wait with the rim lock for the reason you mentioned (wheel balance).

Congrat! You will love it. Great bike to start with. I suggest you connect the charger to the bike and make sure it works properly. As you wrote, see that the bike is updated. Alta is providing a small box with some specific tools for the Redshift. Make sure you get it.

Which Leatt did you get? 5.5 or 6.5 carbon? The 6.5 looks out of this world. Could not find one over here. As for the moto 9 flex - that's a real premium helmet. Too bad it's priced accordingly 😉

I read that the stopping power with mechanical OX brake is limited. Did you notice it?
