Want to buy Need a charger

Check the Alta website for dealers, maybe one has a spare? Another idea; borrow or rent a charger from one of the other owners that has an immobilized bike (until they get it fixed) which buys you time to find your own. I suspect that chargers might be another thing to suggest to after-market...

Sold Alta Motors Part for Sale - Damage Limitation

I hope we can allow those with broken displays and immobilized bikes a first crack at the spare display parts here... heck I’ll even pay a premium for random spares such as rear subframe and seat etc to consolidate shipping if that helps as a group buy to match a display to a needy party. In...

    First Ride Range Experiment

It pays to re-learn how to ride an electric versus gas bike. On my EX it seems I’m already getting into the habit of maintaining momentum to conserve energy (even though it is so fun to open that throttle!), closing throttle fully for regen “engine-braking” (charging) on portions of trail that...

What are the odds that another(even better) EXR-like bike will be made?

As they say (in terms of physics) “no free lunch”!

What are the odds that another(even better) EXR-like bike will be made?

I wonder which e-bikes (electric mountain bicycles) if any, might come close to this range simply by being lighter? (not for motocross obviously but perhaps for casual trail riding?)

Issue: EX front fender rubs frame and battery

Yeah, I tried bending the front bracket but the plastic would just flex and still rub. Perhaps if the plastic rear holes were slotted it could bend up and away. I should have tried that first. No big deal. LOVING the ALTA!

Issue: EX front fender rubs frame and battery

Front fender rubs frame and battery. It came like that new. Did this happen to anybody else? I had to cut the front fender rear tip and shim it out with washers at the rear bolts to tilt fender up.

    External Charger Fault???!!!

I have an EX with external standard charger and also had to cycle the GFCI switch on the charger cord a few times until getting the green light and then connected the bike and finally the handle bar switch on to charge.

    Flywheel mass (heavier)

I noticed Lyndon P changed to a heavier flywheel for the Erzberg enduro. Has anyone done this? What were your reasons? Is this part available for sale or was it a special factory racing part? Video (about 6:00 minutes in):

Insurers that offer full coverage on Altas?

Yup, I remembered to ask Geico (we already have car insurance with them) so that was easy (even with my old speeding ticket! OOOPS)

Insurers that offer full coverage on Altas?

I'm in NY state and although I have multiple motorcycles with Progressive they just confirmed that they cannot insure electric motorcycles. Thank you to those that started this thread and commented. We are all learning together.
