Initial thought was that I needed a heavier spring but didn’t in the end. I kept it anyway just In case I wanted to go stiffer in the future. If someone with an Mx needs it I would be more than happy to sell it.

Since I purchased though them the entire suspension work was 50% off which Included revalve of fork and shock, new spring (which I did not end up using), oil, seals, and any incidentals along the way. Matt

I’m probably heading back to Highland Park this weekend. I will try to talk to the head tech while I am there. I think they should share the information as it will help Alta owners get on the right track and potentially sell more bikes. :)

Update.... Highland Park finished my suspension! While I was there, we set the sag at 102mm before riding with the stock 6.0 spring. First we tried to use a 6.4 spring but with almost no preload on the spring the most sag I could get was 95mm. The spring was literally flopping around so that...

I'm happy to hear I'm not alone with my MXR suspension. If Highland Park fixes it, I hope I can get them to give up exactly what they did to the valving so I can share it here.

I just dropped the bike off at Highland Park which is only 1.5 hours from my house. They said respring and revalve is a must for me. They will have it back to me next week and I’ll report back. Charlie only comes on the track when my wife Amy is out there. Very protective dog! Lol!! Matt

I can! I can run some 240 drops out of the shop. 😎 You might be able to see some of the suspension softness in this video. Even on the smooth landings it’s almost soaking all the way to the bottom.
