That rear sub frame is really nice - do you have any information on how you made it, what plastic and seat did you use etc. I’ve been wanting to do the same thing
Hey Matt,
Interested in your experience with the Alta - is more difficult in freestyle due to weight or lack of engine rotational forces etc.
Hope you keep e-biking in competition
Love the picture but if you look closely there are CAN-AM products in the background which are now the enemy of all Alta owners - the evil empire who gutted the soul of Alta - maybe photo shop that out ?
I also bought a 2019 EXR after Alta was confirmed out of business and with the knowledge of no warrantee or parts support.
Other than the upcoming SUR RON booom bee there really isn’t a good indication of release of a full size bike that is even close to the Alta’s performance - so if you want...
I really like the look - maybe a white or blue seat cover could be next.
What tires are those?
Here’s my EXR with graphics from FX - I love graphics it’s fun and everyone has different concept
It’s taken me years to get this thing right - one thing fails, then the next - repeat - repeat until finally - 7 years later I can now ride it as hard as I am able without overheating or otherwise blowing it up.
Attached are post battery fire pics of the previous edition - damn that was a scary...
It rips pretty good to the point you get arm pump if you ride it hard - not the Alta but then again what is - this thing is loads of fun on single track and around the sub burbs
Couldn’t wait for the production version of the CR-E so had to build my own - sort of a 1980’s retro electric thing - it’s pretty ridiculous and would give the Sur Ron a run
Dumb hobby - it’s all consuming - like a drug or something
I used to live just north of there - many acres available but would think developers would want to get there hands on that property
Are you thinking of an ebike only urban riding facility
I use the extra handle all the time
It’s attached to the frame - you have to take most of the plastic off - I forgot to take a picture of how I mounted it - basically steel plates bolted around the frame and handle
Based on people’s reviews from this forum I purchased the B&S Q6500 - it works great with the fast charger - I installed a second handle to be able to pick it up - installing the handle was a major pain but really worth it - when I’m feeling good I can lift it by myself into the grand cherokee...
