Ok, with that length I believe it’s possible to make a lap based on my experience with our 24 hour event. If it’s much over 20 miles I’d be skeptical though. Long wide open runs are going to have to me managed. Definitely can’t go flat out. Might have to go conservative on everyones first...

Privateer is being too hard on himself! He completed the laps he went out on and after he decided to stay in was a invaluable help in the pits. Additionally if it was crucial that he go out again I’m pretty sure he would have, so absolutely no harm done or apologies needed!

Quick update... very busy and poor to no cell signal otherwise we would have not kept everyone hanging. I’m happy to report we had a successful event, everyone went home in one piece and not a single mechanical/electrical issue with all six bikes. Finished in the bottom half of our class...

Great attitude! Hopefully in the next few weeks we will have to tools needed to remove a BCU from the lid in order to replace it. By then (again hopefully) our upcoming new sponsor will also be ready to sell the BCUs. Then we just need to figure out who is capable to do the work for you...

Keep in mind I don't know your husband and sons ability level, so please don't take offense, but just a reminder opening up one of these batteries is very dangerous and not a job suitable for an average handyman. Deadly voltages and the potential for fire are inside. Also, replacing the BCU...

Be sure to verify the 9V battery is good, other than that I fear the BCU is the culprit.
