Formally Matt Sanders bike. Came with an extra set of plastic, so I am playing around with my vast collection of stickers. Of course BARF bayarearidersforum.com stickers are mandatory for me.
The DIY community we have been forced into is pretty cool. I feel fortunate to be living in a hotbed of it. You guys finger out and I will execute. Or have my friends wrench for me as necessary.
You guys rock.
We installed mine yesterday. There was interference with the handguards, so Eric got me the cool mounts that replace the top of the handlebar clamp.
Way better.
I’ve only had EX006 for two months. Previous owner changed the gear oil.
I’ve had MX019 for two plus years and had the dealer do the oil with the one year check up.
Blue... thanx for the reply. Disassembly starts momentarily.
I presume installation is obvious. This will be the first disassembly I have done to EX006. I have only ridden it, plugged in, unplugged it, ridden again.. and lubed the chain.
It has been eye opening, being exposed to the DIY and EV communities so suddenly when we no longer had a manufacturer in place.
We are pretty competent. You guys rock. That can only help as there is more good news.
Welcome!
The group of folks here are truely unique and awesome. Motorhead geeks this geeky are not that common, though the electric vehicle culture surely has created a community of them. And this fourm has created a community of really sharp engineering kinda folks who love to ride awesome...
This sure sounds like a final nail in the Alta coffin.
As an aside, I have a lovely 30 mile ride at Hollister today on EX006. What a wonderful machine.
Eric and I were riding and a rattlesnake was laying across the trail. He was not bothered by us. He was obstructing our passage. I had to stop, dismount and poke him with a stick to clear the path.
Freakin nature.
