Video of one MXR owners total ride time

I get about 3 hours of trail riding, but it is very different terrain than what is shown in the video in the first post. Much more technical and rocky terrain. Found this video clip that shows almost similar terrain, and he gets similar ride times as mine -

    Gear oil change

Sure, it's a very simple procedure. Just do it for the peace of mind.

    New MX-R

Ray is an electric pro. His modification to the Zero FX are second to none. I am just glad he didn't opt for the KTM Freeride E before the Redshift came out ☺️

Which maps are for what? (MX, MXR, EX)

Interesting you mention the forward motion of the throttle. Seems to me like an excellent opportunity for reverse mode.

    Gear oil change

Trust me, once you'll get the Redshift, there is no way you are going to look at the manual. So, take advantage of the free time.. 😉

    Gear oil change

Everyone remembered to change gear oil after few hours. Replaced mine, the oil was actually very clear.

Which maps are for what? (MX, MXR, EX)

I can think of many uses for it - Your regenerative braking idea is exellent, another option is for personal parameters map (like the Zero motorcycles).

Like most of the display buttons - does nothing. Perhaps for future upgrades?

Re-springing a 2017 Alta Redshift MX (and then revalving too)

So much great information in this post. Good to know we have an option to adjust the suspension to our needs. Since I do enduro type riding only, I'll stick with EX suspension for now. It is soft, but great for the terrain I ride on.

Going racing on my Alta Redshift MX!

Thanks for the welcome! Such forum can be a real asset. Alta started selling Redshifts in Israel. So far 2 EX were sold, I am one of them...😊 I doubt many MX/R will be sold here since they can not be insured due to not being road leaga l.

    My Redshift EX upgrades

I did have to resize the photos in order to upload them. No big deal. How about using Tapatalk app for this forum? It is very convenient. Thanks for the info about the older Rekluse models. It did take a day or two for the brake to feel stronger after installation, but perhaps, that was me...

Which maps are for what? (MX, MXR, EX)

Sounds right. One of the differences between the MX motocross and EX enduro is the maps algorithms. Don't think there is an official manual for 2018 models just yet. At least, I didn't find one.

    My Redshift EX upgrades

I did get a confirmation from Alta that there will not be a brake pedal. However, it is suppose to be a high end Brembo kit.

    My Redshift EX upgrades

I previously owned a Zero FX for 2 years, which had a left hand rear brake kit, instead of the brake lever. So, I am used to not using the foot brake. I have no problem unistalling it. Requires some getting used to for hard core IC bike's riders.

    My Redshift EX upgrades

Few modification - 1. Rekluse LHRB kit. Works well and retain the foot lever. Quite surprised by its quality. 2. Lowered Fastway footpegs. I admit thar the Redshift geometty fits me well (I am tall at 1.90m), but ai already had these footpegs, so gave them a try. Will post results. 3. Replaced...

Which maps are for what? (MX, MXR, EX)

I am mostly interested in finding out the differences between maps characteristics in different models (mx vs ex vs mxr). On my EX the motor braking is so strong in map 4 that I use it for steep descends only (enduro).
