    Post your Miles/Hours

Yesterday my MXR saw 5000kms of MX on the ODO/162 hours. No problems, only charging and riding! Best bike I ever had!

    Repeating click noise under power

I have the same sound: it is the chain. There is a harder section, which dos not run quite straight. When it enteres the front sprocket, I hear it clicking. Lubricating helps!

    Tyre profile rear totally destroyed!

The Dunlops, which where on the bikes from factory had the same issue after only a few hours. Michelins lasts way longer, but it is unsatisfying, that they also break away! May be, I try Bridgestone next time!? Your advantage is, that You have softer and sandy soil in the US, especially in...

    Tyre profile rear totally destroyed!

Hello Alta shredders, anyone here, who has the same problem? Only on my ALTA MXR, the tyres look at the end like this, see picture! All studs are missing , especially the side ones. I never had that problem on ICE bikes. I am not able, to wear the tyre down normally. Tried different brands, but...

    German PohlBock

I have the Kilowatts of regen on my display on the Brammo. It says maximum 5KW in low gears, mostly around 2-3KW. To keep 100km/h (60mph) it takes 10KW engine power. So the regen is way less stress than all the other things You will do to the battery. On a dirtbike the rear is way lighter , so...

I have a Brammo Empulse R. If the battery is full 100%, I can run down my 20% decline with 500meters and the bike is doing regen all the time. I think, if You did one acceleration with a dirt bike, there should be enough "room" for the next braking manouver in the battery!

    let’s do this

Thanks for the offer, helping me through. OK will try, when days get colder here in Germany. Then I have time to. In the moment riding is more important, than fiddling around with software! :-)

    let’s do this

You are right. But I am not used to Linux at all and anxious about to remove all software from the dealer laptop (the only Linux Laptop I have) and install MT. What if it dos not work? But sooner or later I have to dare! :-)

    let’s do this

I tried all maps. Not really good. I have the MXR maps on the bike. I cannot load the SM firmware on it, because i have the original ALTA laptop, which does not allow to change firmware from another bike!

    2020 Zero FX 7.2

I had a zero FX 5,8 for 5 years. Not really good ergonomy. Position of the footpegs to seat and to steeringbar is strange. Used it only as a commuter since i heard, that the frames are breaking on the steering head, when You jump the bike. Belt is not practicable for enduro. Always slips off...

I like the idea, to have a regenerative brake on the rear in combination with the rearbrakelever! There is no brakedisc anymore!

    let’s do this

I dont think, that You can put the right amount of rearbrake at the same time when You accelerate, to smooth that down to the right amount of spin!? The advantage of the four stroke is the ability, to keep a certain acceleration rate and slip rate constant.

    let’s do this

I figured out the same problem, when driving supermoto with the ALTA. The speed up rate on the rear wheel is too high, when the wheelspin begins. A constant drift like on my 450 CRF is not really possible. It would be possible to program that in the firmware, when they would allow it! We need...

Little brass thread inserts in plastic -- How to fix

Due to the fact, that it will never hold tight enough for dualsport, I fixed it the hard way!

Had it so good! Track with high speed charging power outlets denied me after a couple years.

Here in Germany I ride in a MX hall in winter and i pay 3€ per day for power, which is pretty much the amount it costs, when You ride 2 hours net. Some outdoor tracks have power and also let me charge, sometimes without charging me for power, but i offered it, to pay. I see a problem, when there...

Someone in Europe, who has a ALTA SM? Chargingissue!

The inverter was nearly as heavy as the ALTA standard charger. So no way, to carry it with the bike! And with 120 V it takes forever (6 hours) to charge it. Way to long in my opinion. I sold the SM anyway already, but I keep my MXR and EXR.

Someone in Europe, who has a ALTA SM? Chargingissue!

It never worked out with 220-240 Volt. Then I bought an inverter from 240-> 120V, then it worked!

Someone in Europe, who has a ALTA SM? Chargingissue!

Hello Silenthorse, I had that problem once: I turned around the 220V plug (in Germany You can put the plug eather way) and then it charged. Did You check the ground, wether it is really there at start and end of the cable? Checked different plugs in Your house?

    Electric clutch

The Quantya (german Wikipedialink: Quantya – Wikipedia) was more like a moped, compared to the ALTA. Oldschool Brushed engine, 14 Lipocells with 48 Volt overall voltage and 2,4KWh. More or less working passive BMS. That lasts for 20min Proriding or 40 min beginner. Everything was built as light...
