Heard a rumor that the 2019 MXR's will be shipping to dealers soon. Anyone have insight on that? If its true I may wait and try to snag a discount on the '18.

Only thing I heard was the same thing I believe you heard over on Vital. If there are indeed no changes and not even BNG I’m not sure there would be any reason to discount the 18’s. I could be wrong.
I am interested to see if they continue the “A” pack bikes for 19 though. One scenario I could see happening is they discontinue the A pack bikes and drop the MSRP on the R bikes a bit. Pure speculation based on nothing though.

Even without BNG the '19 bikes will sell for more than the '18 bikes. This is because you will be able to sell them next year as the current year bike that is less than 1 year old. Whereas an '18 bike will be considered a last year's bike. So, even without any Alta rebates the '18 bikes will be discounted by dealers, if they have too many of them, and if the '19 are also available to buy at the same time.
