Alta SM titled for 2017 but comes up as 2018?

My Alta SM is indicated on the title and reg as a 2017 but when I got insurance on it yesterday, I was told by the insurance person that it was in the DMV database as a 2018. I also checked the VIN database here on the site and its also indicated as a 2018. Somewhat concerned that DMV will flag it or not accept the insurance when I go to change title. Anyone ever seen this before and would it matter to calif DMV?

The VIN is struck as a 2018. My SM is the same way.DMV did the same thing (Insurance thinks is an EXR...) Is this the SM that has been floating around the Bay Area?
