Seems the Alta forum is pretty dead. I know there's not a lot of these bikes in the wild, but would like to know if there's anybody riding single track in New England?

What are you guys using for a rear tire? For some reason I was thinking it had an 18-in rear so I ordered a ve33s only to realize that it's actually got a 19-in rear. Probably just going to order a KKE 18 and rear for the bike. Although somebody local has a rear wheel from 2009 KTM, thinking the KKE will be lighter. Whatever I can do to maximize the battery.

Metzeler 6 Days Extreme Tires (Rear / 120/90-18 65R TT). FYI This is a direction tire if you choose to install this tire yourself. In the winter I run a studded 18". Still love riding that bike after 6 years.

Just ordered a KKE 18" rear wheel. Going to run the ve33s now but that Metzler is only just over 10lbs vs the ve33s at 13lbd. Less rotational mass equals battery battery life. How's it do on roots, logs and wet rocks?
