Hi all.

OK, been looking about now for some time and going through everyones posts for different idea's on the front ends available for the Alta.

I am not 100% sold on the KTM front, i don't know why as i like it on my 450, but it just does not look right on the Alta?, I have tried to convince myself by looking at all the pics available on here and even taking my front end off my 450 i have have and trying it on, but i am not sure. I also like the idea on running a stadium style front plate to protect all i can, but i think for some reason i can't explain it makes them look worse lol!.

Have been reading alot on here about the newer CRF front end, up to the 2020 bike i read will bolt right up, but this still then means you would have the weak Alta brake hose bracket still?. Bummer.

So, the point to this is, has anyone yet had a go with a 2021 CRF 450 front fender and number plate?, i know it will still need the bracket, but i do like the look of that new fender!, its sort of half way between the KTM design and the newer CRF fender. See pics....

Also, It now has a hole in the front plate that would allow it to "hopefully" bolt into the KTM style center mounting, but still a bracket needed for the hose?.

Just a thought and welcome yours.

I installed the 2020+ CRF front fender and number plate and bolts up with no modifications - see picture

I dint have then fender flopping around problem because I have the EXR which has a steel bracket that is more substantial than the MXR.

I also don’t care for the KTM fender on the Alta - don’t know why but my opinion is the Honda fender is a better look

I have some older style Honda front fenders available for sale if anyone is interested

You can also reinforce the stock brace and it will likely take what most owners throw at it. I did the KTM mod but honestly like the Honda fenders better too. I wonder if the red KTM’s use the same mold as the orange ones, or if they did something slightly different like the white ones?:p

The stock Alta front fender is a Honda part. So other years of CRF fender should work, I would think.

I built my own steel bracket for my MXR (after the original one broke after 4 races) with 1mm more thickness. Now it stands the torture since 1,5 years.

Hi, this is my 2020 Honda Stadium Version on a 2019 Alta Mxr without the weak steel part. The fender now sits a bit more backwards and nearly touches the Frame. Also the Numberplate is more vertical than stock.
Unfortunateöy I sold the bike and did not make any detailed pictures of the modifications.
