My EX finally came in after 6+ month wait. Just a few thoughts so far and some questions:

1. Bike came with no documentation. I assume there is an owners manual or something on the phone, but where?
2. Watched the assembly video, some stuff on mine was different. Like he installed a horn but mine didn't come with a horn. Pressing the horn button just makes a lame noise from the Arkenstone lol.
3. I know they try and keep costs down but.. a lot of this stuff could have already been put together on the bike.
4. The fit and finish, especially on the rear could use some work. It's almost impossible to line up the two furthest back tail bolts that bolt the rear body to the rear wheel well. Since there is a clip that catches it when putting the body on, I said fuck it to those bolts.
5. Is there any way for the "parking lights" not to be lit up during driving and just have brake lights when activated? I don't like driving around during the day lit up like a Christmas tree.
6. I've never ridden a dirt bike before (although plenty of high end E-bikes). Is the ride supposed to be this stiff? I thought being an Enduro it would be a little more plush. I'm VA disabled with a bad back and neck and need to soften it up. I even bought one weight class down in order to try and get a softer ride. I'm 6'4" 215lb and got the medium weight suspension. Any recommendations to soften it up is greatly appreciated! I want this thing to float over bumps as best as possible and don't care about settings for hardcore rock climbing etc.
7. The seat is absolutely terrible. What's the most comfy aftermarket?
8. My turn signal switch doesn't seem like it was manufactured correctly. The left is easy to operate but the right I have to push down hard and then to the right.
9. Bike is way louder than I was expecting. My last bike was a Volcon Evo Grunt with belt drive and that kinda spoiled me.
10. The cooling fan was kicking on a lot even on a mild day, is this normal?
11. What are the 1-5 lightning bolt numbers? Cycling through them they didn't seem to make any difference on acceleration or regen.
12. Dirt bikes aren't as good in sand as I thought it would be. The front wheel seems to easily plow into the sand making it want to through you off. And you really gotta hammer the throttle and kick up roster tails to even control the bike. Any recommendations since there is a lot of sand where I live?
13. Any quick maintenance tips or anything to look out for on a new EX?
14. My bike has turn signals built into the headlight assembly, but also came with stalk type that you can bolt onto the forks. Pros/cons of installing them? Do the headlight assembly turn signals cease to work if the stalks are installed?
15. Surprised without a phone anyone can just press the start button, select the "gear" and drive off. Assuming the steering isn't locked.

Thanks!

Congrats and welcome! I will address what I can:

1. There is a website that links to the video and the manual. I believe you can access the pdf from the app but I just bookmarked the manual.
https://assets.starkfuture.com/technical-documents/Stark+VARG+EX+Owners+Manual+ENG+2025-02.pdf

2. Some parts were not available so the bike shipped without them. They didn't communicate this clearly. For me it was the horn and the rubber bumper that goes around the phone mount. I am also waiting on my rear disc guard and titanium bolt kit, but they told me about those delays. FWIW I got it inspected just fine with the phone horn - I was worried about that initially.

4. yeah fuck those bolts! it was the only part of the assembly that annoyed me. I used different bolts that came with bike that I couldn't find a use for after doing everything else.

5. Dont think so.

6. I felt the same on my first ride. Then I set the sag properly, adjusted the compression a few clicks and it feels incredible.

8. Yeah this thing is very strange and the lack of tactile feedback doesn't help. Don't push the switch directly left or right. You want to push it at about a 45 degree angle. If you want the blinker to stay you also want to hold it there for a second or two.

11. Ride modes. You can set different regen and power levels for each. You might want to watch a video about the feature in the app to get the most out of it.

12. Shift your body weight back to keep the front light and avoid plowing.

13. The kickstand is a known weak point. Make sure its on solid ground because if it sinks into the dirt/sand too far thats how it typically breaks.

14. If you want to get the bike street legal in the US you need to install the big ugly ones. Only one set of blinkers function at a time

15. You can lock your bike in the app

Ok, so unlocked the full 80HP, dang this thing is fast.

Adjusted compression and rebound to softest settings, it's so much better. Only thing left is replacing this brick seat.

I thought the same about the seat. I went with the Guts seat. Its softer and grippier than the stock seat. I also went with the wings. The seat is so much more comfortable. I was a little concerned about it being too grippy but really worked well on the ride I did today.
