I might be using the stark for a grasstrack event this week I have a lanyard that connects the 2 wires when pulled/activated any ideas how to make this work with the stark?
I know Guy Martin used a stark at mablethorpe sand races where you also have to use a lanyard.

Thanks Lee.

Sorry I don't remember seeing any Stark rider (pro or amateur, MX or Enduro) using a lanyard. I don't remember Guy Martin using it but he might have?

In fact FIM technical rules for electrics require either lanyard or automatic cutout based on lean angle (max 3 s) and Stark official riders use the latter to compete in national and international championships.
A lanyard is arguably more dangerous that using sensors to trigger cutout, could get entangled with other bikes, disconnect, IIRC Canard had issues with his lanyard when he raced the Honda CR-E in Japan.

You should ask Stark if there's a way for amateurs to use that (does it come with the bike after some software update or could it be activated when using race mode or something?).

Yes watched that earlier I can not see any Lanyard in use but I know thay used to make you have them fitted, EDIT Oh seems the rules have changed "Lanyard cut-outs MUST be fitted to all Quads, Sidecars and Grass bikes on throttle side. Road bike and Moto X classes WILL NOT require a lanyard cut-out, BUT a working stop button must be fitted."

Still need it for this grasstrack event though. I spoke to a local stark dealer who said they kitted 2 bikes out for an fim event with lanyards he said he would find out how but no reply yet.
