Gen1 to Gen2 question

My Gen1 motor died and Stark sent me a Gen 2 to replace it with. I thought the Gen2 had a relocated charge port but when I looked I only saw this (see picture).

I thought it was some sort of flip cover and it was (because I screwed with it and the cover came off). What is this for a should I have more parts to this G1 to G2 changeover I did get a new wiring harness and bracket with the G2 motor but it doesn't have anything to address this that I can see. Do I need to relocate the existing G1 charge port?

I thought Stark had a video on the G1-G2 swap but I didn't find it. The powertrain video doesn't talk it either.

Same thing happened to the aluminum cover on my EX first time I tried to remove it by flipping it up but your supposed to pull out after depressing the button on the bottom. You need to slide the aluminum piece back on to the plastic plug. Then press the buttom on the bottom of the aluminum cover and pull the plug straight out. It will be on a tether and you can plug in the charger.

Ha! I just came in from pulling the rest on the port out (I googled G2 port and found post on it here!).

Currently in process to re-assemble.

Ok got it assembled, installed and working. Seems a little fragile compare to the G1.

Do I now just remove the whole Gen1 charge port assembly?

I think that I would do that if I were in your shoes. The new wiring harness shouldn’t have any cables to connect to the gen 1 port, I guess.
