Grind down steering stops?

My EX doesn't have as much turning radius as I'd like. I came down some super tight switchbacks and could've used a bit more.
Has anyone tried grinding down the steering stops to get more turning radius? It looks like there's room without the fork hitting anything.
Thoughts?

The steering stop on the EX is a tab welded to the middle/front of the steering head tube. You possibly could grind of some material there, but IMO the much nicer approach would be to take the lower triple clamp to a machine shop and have them machine 1mm (for starters) off of each of the corresponding tabs there (just note this is a different location than on the MX and most other bikes). Just my 2 cent.

Proceed with care. A little too much off the stop and you could contact the carbon spoiler resulting in damage and tears and once removed it's much harder to replace that missing material

If you machine too much off the triple clamp there is enough material there for a threaded hole to mount a screw which would actually give you adjustable steering stops!
