Here we are my 5th year racing Virginia City Grand Prix and my first time doing it on a different bike. Usually I race my Sur Ron Light Bee MX but after getting that whooping from the Ultra Bee and Storm Bee the in 2024 I decided to build a new bike specifically for racing VCGP and that is the WR250E MK2. Time to see if that 6 months of building this bike paid off. My goal was to build a bike that can compete with an Ultra Bee for less monies. This is the Sunday electric class race on the red loop.

So the crazy thing about VCGP this year was that it SNOWED. If you can believe it Virginia City looked like this on Friday

Then looked like this on Saturday and Sunday

The Saturday race start looked like this

And the Saturday racers returned looking like this

Luckily my buddy Ted who I have been racing with for years and has been racing VCGP since before I was born owns a house in Virginia City and he let me camp out in his garage so I didn't get any snow on my Rav4 or the WR250E MK2. Also they ran out of room to camp at the fairgrounds. So I would have been SOL if Ted didn't have a place for me to stay. Ted got a Varg last year and his son was suppose to race it this year but he bailed and Ted was going to race the vintage class on his Husqvarna.
The bike I will be racing this year with number 904 my WR250E MK2 bike and you can see Ted's Varg behind it. Armed with 3 Amorge 72V 40AH batteries we'll challenge VCGP's red loop on Sunday.

Here are the bikes Ted is going to race his vintage Husky and CZ
