While it looks fantastic, there's no way the (future) production version will look like that. That bike has nearly every works part they can throw at it. Probably easily a $20k dirtbike.

And i'm not seeing any indication of a decent sized battery. I'm assuming the black area infront of the motor with the carbon fiber looking cover over it is the battery. Looks less than half the size of our battery packs.

Maybe the black thing has a slide-out with a swappable battery in it! Still too small, won't last over 30 minutes.

Yes, but its a show bike. They always throw every unobtainium part they can find on the show bikes, they need to showcase the bike as much as possible in a sea of bikes and parts at these shows.

The exciting thing is that it looks like a functioning EV mx bike from Honda. Remove all the unobtanium parts, and all the super high end bits, install your standard Honda bits and you have a relatively affordable EV dirt bike - I hope!.

This is huge in my book.

Now I see why guys are offing their mxr's for $8k!

We're down to $7k on some bikes now.

And I was just starting my search for an Alta. I don't think this thing or anything like it will hit the market anytime soon, have no idea of how it performs battery wise, but it does have me re-thinking my plans. Damn it.

I'm sure we've got at least 2-3 years before any of the OEM's have something like this on the showroom floors, and they will be priced at a premium I'm sure as the demand will be huge, but holy cow, that thing looks ready for prime time.

Specs, we need specs! Specs now I say! Can I get an amen?!

Where's the "This thread is useless without specs" meme, Lol.

I am excited, but I won't hold my breath, or postpone my riding in anticipation for a Honda. I need to add a Yamaha electric MX concept from ~2014 to the list of Alta Alternatives. Five year later and we haven't heard back from them.

I am with you. It does not look like a real effort towards production. It's just for show IMO.
