Stark Inverter Question

Can one of you guys, who are much smarter than I am, tell me exactly what the inverter does on a Stark?

It is my understanding that the battery is at 360v nominal. So this is the voltage going into the inverter. What comes out of the inverter to the motor? Is the inverter just an advance speed controller, similar to an RC car?

How does it work?

I really appreciate any info that is shared.

As I understand, I'm sure someone with more knowledge will correct me or add more info:
The battery storage is DC, but the motor is AC, probably 3 phase?
So, at the simplest level, the inverter converts the DC power to AC for the motor.

On the Stark's website they have written that the motor is a Surface Permanent Mack AC motor.
As far as I know and as I've understood and guessed:
That kind of motor is a synchronous AC motor with permanent magnets.
• Generally, the rotational speed of this kind of motor depends on the frequency of the alternating current used to feed it, therefore, in order to have the desired rotational speed, the inverter changes the frequency of the current (edit: after having converted it to AC as stated above).
• The power is given by the voltage multiplied by the current. Since the voltage is pretty stable, the only variable is the current and that's why the inverrter regulates it in order to adjust the power.
• Since there is the possibility to cool down the inverter with active cooling during charging, the current must apparently pass through the inverter during the charge for some reason.
The VCU tells the inverter what to do.
