Rode my Varg at Glen Helen a few times and at Mammoth Vet Weekend practice day.
Result: Even at 40hp, my lap times were noticeably better on the Varg and my heart rate was 20 bpm lower. It's just less work and funner to ride. Magic hp # is about 52 everywhere. 55+ and it is hard to control. Alpha 60-80 is fun to show people the ridiculous power but useless unless you plan on drag racing!
Forced to race the KX: At 8k feet in Mammoth, I ran VP on the KX but still felt the altitude robbing the KX of power which had me running in lower gears and forcing me to work harder.
I also stalled the 450 off the line. That would never happen on electric.
Result: 2022 KX450 FOR SALE
Even if they never let us play in their ICE reindeer games, I will be a practice track hero and enjoy my Varg.
