In uk can only find 2/3 company’s that will quote and it’s 1300+ which is ridiculous.
Who’s got them insured here and what are you paying?
41yrs,full licence, locked garage etcetc why is it so expensive?
Only Paying 200 on a Tm and 180 on a Husqvarna.
thats terrible price for UK... im wondering how many it will be in Spain, didnt know anyone who has it yet. Mine its supposed to arrive April 11, i will update here my insurance price
Some, most don’t recognise Stark as a manufacturer and some just don’t insure electric.
So far only x4 company’s are willing to entertain quotes 1780fc,1450tpft,1230tp
Be interesting to see when people start getting there orders if the EX here in UK will be any cheaper or easier to insure.
There generally looking at all electric bikes as high risk because of danger of accidents happening as people don’t hear you.
Probably uninsurable in Uk like the MX seems now is.They took a while to do the EX’s.Maybe they’ll catch up eventually in case of the Supermoto.
For a while bikesure and a random N’ireland broker were the only ones to offer for the VargMX but steep at £1600, but they have since disappeared from all sites.
Iirc MsM also insured a couple people on here but now will only do EX.
Somethings changed at somepoint behind the scenes to do with powerdelivery/ride on CBT or licenseclass/rules and regs with the MX.
The industry seem slow or don’t want anything to do with ev bikes here wether on or off road tbh.
Wow sorry to hear that about the UK. I have 2 policies on my bike here in the US. My ev bike is covered by my homeowners when parked in my complex. I also have an extra motorcycle policy that covers fire, theft, damage and that is about $100.00 extra US per year.
I know all this because my 1st Stark was stolen from my garage and I was able to get it replaced.
