What Next? Skid Plate Or Left Hand Rear Brake?

In my mind is always "How tough is that battery case?"
I ride trails and race Hare Scrambles
You definitely hear the dirt/rock/sticks hitting the bike more than on a noisy gasoline bike.
I already had a stick flip up and wedge between the battery and shroud, breaking the plastic shroud.
Should I buy a skid/protection plate first, or the rear hand brake first?
I really want that left hand rear brake.
Of course I already know the answer, get them both!

If you must go with one before the other than my vote would be to protect the bottom of the bike. The SXS plate is an awesome piece and also protects the linkage.

Besides, the SXS skid plate makes it much easier to clean the bike from underneath. Without a skid plate the mud packs very tight under the motor.

Get the skid plate first, then the LHRB.
