Hello everyone,

Looking for some help diagnosing my 2017 alta revshift Mx recently purchased it with a battery v cell timeout error. The bike doesn’t move, when I plug in the charger I get it flashing red and green then goes it flashing green. Not sure if it is taking a charge. Any recommendations on what to try first? Anyone have any experience with this?

Your first step would be to get it hooked up to a diagnostics laptop to get a better idea what is going on. Fortunately you are in a good state for that, lot's of members across California.

Do you know where I could rent the laptop and connector? I saw someone who was loaning it out don’t know if it’s still active

Just FYI, but we were able to help @Dluxor1 hook up to MT and check it out. This is an older MX (#064). Not even showing module 0 in MT. Interestingly, we were able to update the firmware to current version, but we couldn’t time the motor. Fortunately, the bike is here in the Bay Area, so he is going to take the battery over to @Rashid510 to see if he might be able to fix the battery.

Just for future reference, here is what MT looked like on this bike with the vcell timeout error.

Yesterday i was riding MX in Germany, then gave the MXR a wash and charged it. 2 hours later i checked the battery level and had a vcell timeout. After 10 times cycling key it startet again. Made a MT check: No codes! Did a firmware update and tested the MXR. No issues. My question: is it possible, when i ride the bike, that it suddenly stops during riding as long as the problem is not fixed? Can i do something on the battery, what solves the problem? Thanks for your help
