thanks for the detailed replies. bummer. that's primarily what i was hoping for. there's so often where an extra 20% means whether i can ride to destination or exhaustion. i'll keep my eyes peeled for a lightly used 1.2, but this makes me a lot less anxious to upgrade.

I went to a locksmith with my bike like @#76 suggested. I thought they’d assume it was stolen and refused, but nope. It was quick and cheap.

Ah that gives me some hope. I bought the Nekken stock Alta bars to put on it since that’s my most comfortable bike, but I’m out injured for a few months so haven’t gotten to try them.

Preference for my Altas (really need to ride it more, and swap the bars at minimum), and aforementioned lack of storage space. Figure I could always get another in the future.
