    Battery 1.0 vs 1.2/EX

HVIL is on the orange power connector and that has not changed. My guess is that nothing has changed besides the 12V/CAN connector (although I cannot be 100% sure about that).

    Battery 1.0 vs 1.2/EX

I took a look on HiGo's site at didn't see it. So it is either HiGo custom or some other manufacturer. Edit: looks to be custom.

    Battery 1.0 vs 1.2/EX

Will be interesting to see what they do. They might end up putting a new VCU, phone, and wiring harness in it. Please let me know how it turns out.

    Battery 1.0 vs 1.2/EX

First, you would need to know the pinout. Second, the higo is molded. If it was my battery I wouldn't do it because it would end up a butcher job; and I have lots of practice with wiring. It would be a lot easier/cleaner to do it on the VCU/cable-harness end. Stark really should have a solution...

    Battery 1.0 vs 1.2/EX

No error by you. When they switched to higo connectors the whole wiring harness basically changed. I think that with a new wiring harness also comes a new VCU and phone. I wouldn't try to change connectors as you need to split the battery in two to do that. The logical answer would be some sort...

    General Poll, response appreciated

    1. It is still being worked on as time allows. Various spinoffs are being used for some customers (but that is not MX traction control at the moment) for various features. 2. For software development, no. 3. I have no idea.

    electronic clutch

Just to clarify. I have the ability to change software in the VCU (running my own custom build). The clutch is wired into the VCU -- does not sit between the throttle and the VCU. This is meant to be a FYI in the sense what can be done. Don't expect to be able to buy something like this.

    electronic clutch

I have played around with a number of things as far the control goes. For bikes I'm not really a fan of the "single input" philosophy. If you like LHRB that obviously conflicts with the clutch. We will try clutch + thumb brake on a bike to see how that works/feels. For me personally I find that...

    electronic clutch

Suppose you want exactly zero wheel torque (neither positive nor negative torque). The easiest way to do this is pull in the clutch. It is difficult to do this with the throttle -- to keep it in exactly the right position for the torque request for the inverter to be zero. With the clutch it is...

    electronic clutch

I tried a little experiment and I really like how it performed. I was riding down a mountain on a logging road -- regen was cranked way up. I had the throttle fully closed and used the clutch to control rear wheel regen/braking. It worked really well. Another rider tried it and liked it too. It...

Post here your Stark Varg issues (or not!)

The phone caught on fire (from the amount and smoke color the battery inside the phone). Looks like the phone got hit by the concrete pillar.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric using Stark parts

If/when a production version comes I doubt the solution will be a dual varg battery. Don't fixate on the kwh number and other specs of the bike in the photo.
