No such thing as bad publicity. How many other bikes need to be neutered with power, weight, wheelbase and brakes to let the other bikes keep it fair?
IMO Open class non production rules is the way.
It’s almost better that Stark “fit in” rather than be a front runner right away. The villain reputation is far less as the years have gone on, but it’s still there with plenty of people only wanting them in a separate class.
I guess soon we'll see how it goes. SX is the perfect format for them. I don't expect dominance, but many of the wild card riders won't ride the whole series, which just leave Roczen to beat.
The future of the sport is shorter moto's, and more of them (3). The triple crown is a proven winner in SX and it's the historic origin of the sport. Last night's 450 SMX final got boring, they are just too long. It's just a matter of time, instead of making e-bikes to be heavier to go longer...
Time to go prove them wrong by establishing a history of doing it. I think with correct setup no additional battery capacity is needed. Even so you could use “works” batteries if they don’t already.
The intent on this thead was to demonstrate range increases (or not) with super tall gearing and zero Regen. It also increases rideability, less abrupt response, less wheelspin and wheelies.
I'd love to see something more current, there have been several mapping changes and IIRC Bryan had problems with wheelspin and the 80hp setting not being unlocked?
Hopefully more people will report back as you did, we need to standardize the math so that we can say I got X mpbattery % today so that we can learn from the comparisons.
IIRC the Stark uses a countershaft sensor for mpg? I really don't know for sure, but yeah GPS is best. You don't seem to have a range issue, but the rideability is enhanced with taller gearing anyway IMO. It's not just for Supermoto and freeways.
