The intent on this thead was to demonstrate range increases (or not) with super tall gearing and zero Regen. It also increases rideability, less abrupt response, less wheelspin and wheelies.

I'd love to see something more current, there have been several mapping changes and IIRC Bryan had problems with wheelspin and the 80hp setting not being unlocked?

IIRC the Stark uses a countershaft sensor for mpg? I really don't know for sure, but yeah GPS is best. You don't seem to have a range issue, but the rideability is enhanced with taller gearing anyway IMO. It's not just for Supermoto and freeways.

You can't be afraid of humiliation, and they would quickly find a way to adapt. We already see it in weekend racing, no problems. If they can't hang at the tip of the spear, then it is what it is, but I'm certain they would adapt quickly.

Another solution is to modify the format, 3 shorter moto's, and include a mandatory pit stop. E-bikes can swap a battery and gas bikes have to change the rear tire (with a different color rim) . The sport is too boring and needs some track position changes. A few EX hard/EZ lanes would also...

True, but MX was originally 3 shorter moto's, and it's a lot less boring and you don't have only triathlete's winning. Changing would improve the sport's appeal, because it needs it.

That's decent, I'd imagine you could easily run much higher gearing. For under $100 bucks.
