    Eddie's maps...?

True, one tooth on the sprocket makes a noticeable difference even with the throttle closed. But, 10T with 80HP engine and 520 chain?? That must be at the edge of practicable.

    electronic clutch

What clutch are you using on the Varg? If any type of "clutch" or external power control element is to be used, my choice would be a left hand thumb control. Having a full grip on the bars like in the example of a long downhill you described above is a major advantage in my view.

    Eddie's maps...?

You'll be disappointed if you expect to transfer anything from riders of that caliber to an average civilian. There's a recent (German) video of Eddie talking about this. Basically it's stock, linear and in the range of 40hp depending if it is for EnduroCross or Enduro. Top riders don't care...

    electronic clutch

I saw this a few days ago, but found it hard to share. Compare it if you will to that humble German who is selling his clutch for 200€. Irony is the 1200€ clutch will sell better.

Multiple weeks Hard Enduro trip, what to bring?

I've seen you changing the piston in the filed, so I assume there is no need to mention tools. I will point out that when I fill my van with tools and equipment I worry a lot that somebody will steal them while I'm riding. Don't pack what you can't stand losing. I've also been thinking about...

Media Review Varg EX [assorted reviews and random videos]

They are branching out into enduro tourism.

    Varg production numbers / VIN

I'm sceptical about any data laid over a map of the entire planet. More density in Switzerland and Slovakia than in Spain in Italy? Doubt it. What is interesting is that they track "currently in use". That's the NSA type of game.

Eddie and Stark win the Romaniacs Prologue - chaos!

Eddie K. wins stage 2. If I'm reading this right, he did three stints of 54' minutes. His timestamps are almost the same as the closest rider. No apparent evidence of time lost in pit stops. Gold class was painful to watch. Manhandling bikes all day long, and these are the best riders.

Eddie and Stark win the Romaniacs Prologue - chaos!

Day 2 stage profile: Gold: Silver: Like Day 1, Gold class distance is 10% shorter. Should be said that (carbed) ICE bikes are probably spilling a significant amount of petrol through their overflow on those climbs and while laying down. Stark doesn't have that issue and has re-gen.

Eddie and Stark win the Romaniacs Prologue - chaos!

I'm all for humility, but I question the reasoning here. They have capable bike and rider, and in racing you have to use 100% of what you have. Dowatek team has a Varg in the race, and some tips on cooling the bike. [in German] https://www.facebook.com/dowatek

Eddie and Stark win the Romaniacs Prologue - chaos!

I was a bit disappointed do see them in "Silver". I tried searching for explanation in the rules (i.e. distance, route etc.) but there's nothing obvious there. Gold class even has shorter stages by distance, although longer stage times due to difficulty. However, range is probably the reason...

Eddie and Stark win the Romaniacs Prologue - chaos!

Eddie Kralson's result for Day 1: Must be a story behind it because he lost and gained time throughout the stage. No info about recharging for now. One other Stark Varg in the Bronze class copped a big penalty. The Electric category looks a bit of a mess to be honest. A few Vargs, but...
