Performance difference from MX to EX?

I wonder if it is suspension, geometry, and weight distribution that is effecting the HP required to loft the front wheel? That seems like an awful lot of horsepower difference to achieve the same behavior.

Post here your Stark Varg issues (or not!)

On my new bike the tubes definitely seem better than the ones on my first Varg. My first Varg was manufactured in late 2023 my new one in mid 2024. The older version was having tube problems after the first ride, especially on log and rock hops where the front wheel tap was a little hard. Oddly...

    Stark Varg EX range

Agreed!! on the technical. Stark is awesome in slow gnarl. Hands down the best slow gnarl bike I have ever owned. Even though it is heavier than than the my 300 2T it is way more control-able and the low end is great. And I drop it less. I thought the fly-by-wire no clutch would be problematic...

    Stark Varg EX range

I am I am not sure about 2X vs 4X my guess is possibly 2X would be sufficient for mass. The problem right now is battery tech still needs some serious catch up. Wet batteries are 19th Century tech. A real solid state solution with weight savings and improved range/fast-charging alone might be...

The "lock bike" feature isn't reliable

The jackasses knew it was electric but didn't know how it worked so they stole all my DeWalt and Mikata tool chargers and some batteries but not the tools. They also left the Stark phone which was sitting right next to the DeWalt charger. The bike is bricked by Stark and they can't get a phone...

The "lock bike" feature isn't reliable

Your insurance company will just pay out the $10k or so. It is small to them. My bike was stolen from my garage and the thieves just carried it to a waiting truck. It would be rare IMHO for most thieves to ride away on an unfamiliar platform. The number of people who even know how to turn a...

Brand New Stark Varg EX Won’t Start — No LED, No Charging, No Bluetooth, No Response

I wouldn't bother with stripping the button assembly down I have just bought new ones. I have posted many times about the buttons. I am guessing those button are made or at least designed in Europe. Buttons on 10 year old Japanese and Chinese bikes have booting systems to protect them from the...

Brand New Stark Varg EX Won’t Start — No LED, No Charging, No Bluetooth, No Response

Good point. @MotoBoy6996 did you get your bike from a dealer?

Brand New Stark Varg EX Won’t Start — No LED, No Charging, No Bluetooth, No Response

Can you go to their website and see if the throttle is same on the MX and EX? If so, I might have an extra one I could FedEx to you. BTW the throttle does not come with the grip so no matter where you get it you will probably need a new one.

Stark bricking some used bikes reported as stolen

You should definitely get an MSO. In fact, there was a problem with the bike with my MSO and the dealer straightened it out immediately for me

Stark bricking some used bikes reported as stolen

I am glad about this since my Stark was stolen. At least in my experience Stark only bricks bikes that have been reported stolen (and you need a police report plus your title and bill of sale(BOS), also having the name of the investigating officer is helpful in the US) --BTW you will need that...

Stark won't send me a rear handbrake!

Brand New Stark Varg EX Won’t Start — No LED, No Charging, No Bluetooth, No Response

Interesting. Was the switch just sticky or did it get dirt invasion?

Australian Championship shows why the AMA has banned Stark. It ain’t Safety.

I still can't understand the religion of powerplants. 2T, 4T, E who cares? People wrapping their lives around smoke or no smoke is pathetic. The most important thing for Stark IMHO is to continue to sell bikes and make profits and not end up like KTM with 250,000 ICE bikes in a warehouse needing...

AMA and Electric Motorcycles in AMA races

That was pretty good. This is one area that I think Stark should try to improve on. Getting a good bike into production as soon as possible led to expected compromises and I think battery mount was one of them. Re-engineering mounting, extraction, and insertion won't take new technology...

RE: Stark - My conversation with Mike Burkeen, AMA Deputy Director of Racing

I think it will be harder to reduce 4T noise even with enduro exhaust. I used some of the FMF noise reducing exhausts on my previous 4Ts and I don't think a few db will make a difference to a lot of the complainers especially if there are many bikes. The new yz450f is loud on intake and...

RE: Stark - My conversation with Mike Burkeen, AMA Deputy Director of Racing

One of the key selling features of the Stark is noise reduction. Engine noise complaints by track neighbors have at least been partly to blame for pressure to close tracks in the US at least. And 4Ts have not really been quieter than 2Ts. Plus, engine sound is not always a good safety indicator...

Brand New Stark Varg EX Won’t Start — No LED, No Charging, No Bluetooth, No Response

Ok thanks. It is very odd the way your bike ended up. Just sitting. I have had issues after crashes, for example I submerged the handlebars deeply into nasty mud & muck on the powerbutton side (I ride my bike in Enduro conditions) and that caused very weird behavior. On the MX the powerbutton...

Brand New Stark Varg EX Won’t Start — No LED, No Charging, No Bluetooth, No Response

Did you have any crashes or any other riding event? Your case seems slightly different than what @A.I. is reporting. That case the bike died while sitting.
