Well, it's time to bring the bike and charger, with bottle of wine, to your favorite neighbor and kindly explain you want to borrow a cup of electricity. If it works, the issue is house related. If not, it's a charger issue. I think we can find a couple people here that are willing to test...

@zootie , do you have a picture of the Code 100? Are you still unable to charge the bike?

Does anyone have a link to these switches? I can't seem to find them on Trail Techs website, nor Amazon.

Ah! I bet you're completely right. Floating vs bonded neutral. I'll poke around inside the generator but taking that thing apart is a bitch (at least the EU1000 was). I think I like your not recommended solution...... not that you mentioned or recommended it.

Thanks on the Airstream! We spent years looking for the right one, this is a 1970 and it's in pretty good shape. This issue isn't that the EU22 doesn't have enough power, its that the GFCI wont stay "reset" for power to get to the charger. There is something in the generator that box isn't...

EDIT: Condition described below is cause by the generator being "Neutral Floating" which by nature does not work with GFCI plugs, such as installed on the Alta chargers. The fix is to use a jumper in the other electrical outlet which connects the ground pin to the neutral pin, thus "bonding"...

Double check with Gigavac. They were not able (or willing) to match the exact part number when I emailed them for a quote. I gave them the part numbers @Oded supplied, they returned a different part number, I asked for verification that the part was identical, then no reply.

Ah, I wondered when this bike was going to be up for sale. If it's the same "dealer demo bike" from western NY, it needed a new display because it got cracked on a demo ride, they could not sell it because the displays were not available. The owners closed the business down and one of them...

So, it has to have a way to radiate off the excess heat when using regen and the batteries are fully charges. Or, it uses brakes rotors. And I'll bet those get hot!

I'm not sure if this is still the company policy, but Warp 9 will sell the MX EX SM front wheel assembly as they delivered them to Alta, less the spacers. The 18" EX wheel assembly I purchased from Warp 9 had the 53 tooth sprocket with "Alta" on it, and the brake rotor. There are Ebay sellers...

50 or 60 hertz in England?

My MX does awful sounding things in the cold weather. By "cold" I mean in the mid teens F. It's been fine at temps above 30 or so....
