This is on my way home today. It is an Alta MXR with SM wheels and 14/45 gearing. No tuck was needed. I was going in Mode 1 or 2 at about 75mph, then upshifted to Mode 4 and the bike almost pulled a wheelie. It must be gearing limited.

I always wear ear plugs when riding the Alta. The gears, the chain, and the wind noises are just not very satisfying. And at the MX tracks I do not want to listen to other bikes.

You are right, I can buy some immobile junker for the price of towing it away. Tow it to the employee parking lot. Place a cheap and loud gas generator in it and park the bike next to it when I am at work.
