My suggestion with an electric bike is to always always switch to off when you are off the bike, or even when on the bike, but on a break. No engine sound or clutch to modulate the power, so the throttle can be accidently twisted. Make it a habbit.

Did you have a chance to test some other EXs? Do they have different firmware?

On my EX, the difference between the regen in the different maps is very pronounced. In map 4 the regen is so strong that is usefull for steep descends only. Apparently, according to the brochure, the regen is the same on all maps in the EX. However, it is stronger in map 4 in the SM model...

There is a very noticable difference in regen between the mods. Map 4 in the EX have a very hard and unpleasent motor braking. Give it a try.

I agree. The only place I use map 4 on the EX is for its motor braking on steep descends. For power, I don't really see how it can be useful, except for the occasion tire spin burnout or something.

I love my EX and more power is the last thing I need. I even like the stock suspension. It's great for technical enduro. That said, I would wait few days to see what Alta is cooking..

Amazing that Israel is the first market outside of the US that Alta have a dealer. My guess for the announcement is a EXR model.
