The "lock bike" feature isn't reliable

Seems like a new version every day now. 2.6.0 (66) was the one that fixed my lock bike feature , today it went to 2.6.1 (67). This also shows on the home-screen now when you tab on the 'today' field. Michael

The "lock bike" feature isn't reliable

I don't think it does update while the bike is in gear. Hard to say when it actually does, because I just noticed it when the power was suddenly missing on a hill climb and I found it had switched from advanced power modes back to basic and I then checked the version. Disabling the mobile...

The "lock bike" feature isn't reliable

Exactly. Last time it happened mid-ride to me  Michael

The "lock bike" feature isn't reliable

App has been updated and this has seemingly fixed my "lock bike" issue - let's see if it is finally useable. As a sidenote, the app update was automatic without a warning/notification again and has reset my power mode settings as well. Michael

Post here your Stark Varg issues (or not!)

This app doesn't write anything to the bike so Stark will never know, but it could give you some pointers - nothing to loose here. AFAIK the Bahamas do have some special relations to the US regarding tax and immigration so couldn't you just take the broken battery as a "import item for repair...

Maximizing Range for the Stark Varg

Already had that as well when a fuel injected GasGas TBI blew its main fuse - to say the owner was embarrassed would be an understatement 🤣 Michael

    Stark Future next models

That's were I usually get mine: BR Powerparts : MOTO-MASTER Sinter Pro Racing GP Bremsbeläge I think the Maciag ones are the same - if you look at the second picture provided (backside) it says 094412! The Bolddesignz ones have the right picture and description, but they don't provide any...

    Stark Future next models

Just a word of caution, the Racing GP compound need a little heat to show its full potential. So just pushing it around the garage you won't feel much difference. A good way to measure the braking power is the torque display on the dash. Pull the LHRB, slowly apply throttle and watch the torque...

    Stark Future next models

MotoMaster Sinter Pro Racing GP Part# 944-12. This totally changed my LHRB! Make sure you get the "-12" designation which is the "Racing GP" compound. There are others as well (944-11 and so on), but it is not worth bothering with them. MotoMaster advertises the Racing GP as +30% in braking...

Varg EX - Indicator Switch Issue

So my EX switch had the indicator issue as well, but was otherwise working fine until it didn't - electronics gone! Stark sent me a new one and with this one the indicator switch was surprisingly working just fine in both directions - it seemed to be the same revision switch as the original one...

Has anyone looked into aftermarket chargers?

Maybe this can save you some work:

    Extracting SOC metrics?

Interesting, do you know what firmware you currently have? I wanted to make some pictures for you and plugged in the same setup which has worked fine last time and got - NOTHING! Basically all the OBD dongles have some LEDs to show the current status and after turning on the bike it showed no...

    WP suspension on a Stark

Well, unfortunately the 2023+ KTM WP Xact Pro shock does not directly fit - it does contact the subframe on the top and the knuckle (triangle lever) on the bottom. Nevertheless, depending on your motivation and the right tools, it possibly could be made to fit. Regarding the clearance issue on...

    WP suspension on a Stark

I hope to get a loaner 2023+ shock to see if the reservoir and lower clevis on this one will fit - length could be fixed with removing the top out spring assembly. That could be the easiest conversion, but I do have some concerns about the short clevis hitting the link arms. BTW did you ever...

    WP suspension on a Stark

Yes, this is inevitable. I also run the shock empty (no oil/gas) and do remove the bumper for testing to be able to use full stroke. Michael

    WP suspension on a Stark

Well, here is my interpretation of WP suspension on the Stark. I didn't want to go as far a cutting into the frame, but one of the advantages of the WP stuff is that it is modular and there are quite a few different parts available. There are a few options in the Xact Pro shock series, but the...

Stark varg support is the worst

Good news. Today I've got an e-mail from Stark support saying that the could review the videos from the Google Drive links provided and that they will send me replacement parts with no further questions asked (y) Unfortunately no mentioning of a reason why the e-mails with appended videos...

Multiple weeks Hard Enduro trip, what to bring?

I had that issue from beginning on on my EX, but with the latest update it seems to have cured itself. Now when going into the timer menu it takes a second or two and then the saved settings are shown - looks like it is read from the VCU on not stored on the phone. Nevertheless my "lock bike"...

Multiple weeks Hard Enduro trip, what to bring?

That has bitten me as well, also the other way round. If you use crawl mode to lock the rear wheel and then have to turn it off under load with no throttle it will "unlock" pretty violently. So I do agree that should be an adjustable feature (percentage of throttle that still allows you to go...

Stark varg support is the worst

On the other hand you have dealers that will take parts of off new bikes to get yours running so I guess it can go either way. But what do you do if you start going in circles as they want a video which when it is sent never gets to its destination and then you send a mail without a video where...
