Stark varg support is the worst

Already did that using Google Drive - waiting for the results! Michael

Multiple weeks Hard Enduro trip, what to bring?

I agree, especially considering that reverse crawl is much stronger  Michael

Stark varg support is the worst

That's what I did, then they wanted the video. Seems like no e-mail with a video attached is received as I'm only getting replies (24-48 hours) to text only mails. Nevertheless I only get an error msg when the attachment is larger than 25Mb, everything else seems to go through AFAICT from my...

Stark varg support is the worst

Fighting an issue at the moment that I can't seem to send videos to Stark support. FAQ says videos up to 25Mb should be fine, but on any mail including a video (7Mb or 14Mb) I'm just getting no response. So if not having bought spare parts in advance (control switch) I'd already have lost a week...

Post here your Stark Varg issues (or not!)

I think we already have good examples from the automotive world or ICE bikes that manufacturers are/have to be very cautious because of liability reasons and so the aftermarket has to step in with all the consequences (broken warranties, broken vehicles ;-) this has. IMO Stark went pretty far...

Post here your Stark Varg issues (or not!)

The EX has an OBDII port which you can access with a reader. It might give you some better information and fault codes can be cleared, but honestly I don't think it will give you more possibilities than the support has. Nevertheless if you want to keep yourself occupied while waiting for...

Post here your Stark Varg issues (or not!)

Yes, being a member here has been really helpful and that's what made me get the spare control switch (and install the master link!) asap. Nevertheless I use my silicon toe protector when washing the bike and haven't had it in serious rain or mud yet so I doubt this issue was caused by water...

Yes, MX 1.2 version for use on the EX. Michael

Post here your Stark Varg issues (or not!)

Fortunately I'm paranoid! I mean, seriously paranoid and usually I have a whole collection of spare parts before even having the bike in my possession. Now on the Varg one of my biggest concerns was always the control switch, because if that stops working for what reason ever you are left...

The "lock bike" feature isn't reliable

I see your points and issues big car manufacturers like VW had/have with their SW come to mind. On the other hand this is a dirt bike, shouldn't be that complicated, or? Now we have a "simple" electric engine instead of the EFI crap and what do they do - they screw up the SW ;) No, I won't start...

The "lock bike" feature isn't reliable

IMO the issue here is that Android is what it is - an open platform, not a Varg dedicated one. With Android you'll always have the option of infinite settings and possibly other apps running and you can never test it all. This was a poor idea from the beginning on ... Michael

The "lock bike" feature isn't reliable

So with the latest firmware update the lock-feature was supposed to be fixed - that worked until the latest app update o_O Not only did the last app update on my EX happened automatically mid-ride (!!!) which IMO is a big no-go by itself, the lock function is broken again on my bike. If I lock...

I love this bike, but already have problems...

Did you use the "good" charger in the same environment (same wall plug/location, adapter, extension cord, ...) you are using your malfunctioning one? The charger has some protection circuits build in that react allergic to certain ground configurations/installations. This can be plug adapters...

Button Unit get Stuck with dirt, Varg EX and MX

I used the "big toe" one on the EX unit, but as I said those are very stretchy so they will fit different diameters. Michael

Button Unit get Stuck with dirt, Varg EX and MX

Believe it or not, Silicon Toe protectors do the trick. The Silicon is stretchy enough to become almost clear to see the buttons, but unfortunately the life span isn't great when stretched that much. But for power washing or a mud race this should be fine...

What is this part used for?

What about OBDII access! With one of those OBD dongles and the according adapter cable (red plug is "Euro5 OBDII") you can use an app on your phone to read fault codes and live engine data like RPM, temps and such. There are already a few threads about that here. Michael

    Eddie's maps...?

Yeah, but he also said he is using the smallest front sprocket possible. There is a 11 from the KTM Freeride I think, but a custom 10 might be possible as well. Michael

    electronic clutch

To me it seems like the precision of the throttle is so good, that a human with only a throttle grip can not fully exploit it. That is were those crutches, ähem clutches ;), come into play giving you an extra control set. Still, 1.200€ is ridiculous and the loss of the hand brake hurts as well...

    Extracting SOC metrics?

You'll find the plug on the right side under the plastics just above the battery on the frame. Remove the two front bolts on the right shroud and you should be able to bend it away just enough to connect the adapter cable without having to remove the whole plastic/seat assembly. Michael
