Button Unit get Stuck with dirt, Varg EX and MX

Just a follow up here. Following the warranty concerns, Slavens sent out a notice and asked me to return the plate for a full refund which I did. I used the AXP successfully on both my Vargs but I was unwilling to take a chance with the warranty.

Button Unit get Stuck with dirt, Varg EX and MX

Even with proper tolerances the buttons are very susceptible to dirt intrusion and sticking. They should come with a proper fitting rubber boot (as noted above). Drop your Varg in mud and sink the buttons and there is a good chance the buttons will stick. This can render things inoperable too...

Official video tutorial about cleaning the Varg

Ya I used to have a nice garden hose setup it had hot water too for those cold days when the mud actually freezes --that is nasty. My old setup was made for dirtbike living. But alas things change.

Official video tutorial about cleaning the Varg

I do about the same, though I don't normally remove the plastics every time. And when I do remove the plastic I don't typically run water there a damp rag is usually enough. The only things I use differently is I use Simple Green for cleaner and motorex for my chain lube which is leftover from...

Solved HELP Power jerking after Drivetrain replacement (GEN2)

On top of that Stark bikes have a warranty. Most brands of ICE dirtbikes have almost no warranty. Stark would be obligated to fix this even if it was like this 1 year after you got it. They have not been able to troubleshoot or fix it properly nor has their authorized dealer. That is a lot to...

Solved HELP Power jerking after Drivetrain replacement (GEN2)

Oh god man I am sorry to hear that. That shady dealer is useless, it is not your problem if that jackass is losing money he had no problem selling you the bike in the first place. You got a lemon and the bike has not been right from the start. Stark should take back the bike and replace it with...

My first post, a trick for mounting the footpegs

Hi Anders, I know you don't like youtube but this vid is for the EX, he says the pegs are a pain and shows how to do it at 3:30. He does use a rod and hammer to tap it in. Oh and BTW welcome aboard!!

    Stark ex first ride

Both boxes came with T25, T30, and T45. Plus lug for the axles. There is not a T27 which is unfortunate. Also there are some smaller sizes that are not included which are useful for the controls like the throttle. The rest are wrenches, tools, and a spoke wrench. Nothing looks empty though.

Hmmm really. I don't have any empty spots in either tool box. I have two toolboxs from MX-1s.

    New VARG Software Update.

Not sure but Arkenstone may read the store rather than what is loaded in processor memory and it may read the latest version in the store. Like you say I think the store almost certainly has both copies and points to the one to use. The process generally varies by implementation a firmware...

    New VARG Software Update.

The download of the new version is different than loading the new image into the processor that is typically why the leds vary in color. The rainbow is likely the actual loading of the program into processor memory. It is typically done like this to make sure there is a copy of the old and new...

    New VARG Software Update.

On the MX 1.0 that is, the cycling is normal when the firmware upgrade is happening. Usually it returns to standby mode when done a slow flashing red. I don't know why they can't save the defaults properly. Seems kind of half-ass to change settings like that. In all the firmware I have worked...

    Stark ex first ride

If you ride it in the gnarl you will love the slow cornering capability and the possibilities of the fly-by-wire. I can never say enough about well Stark did with the throttle control. It just makes the clutch obsolete. As I have said before, I bought my Stark believing that I was accepting a...

Stark My Stark showed up at dealer today

Same with me full shutdown. I also have heard --anecdotally-- of a Stark owner who left their bike in standby mode and inadvertently discharged their battery and this then led to other problems which included the always fun return trip to the dealership.
