    German PohlBock

The eBock is out! At least it's available as a complete bike online. They've redone their website and have provided far more information. On paper it looks to have similar power characteristics as the Sur Ron Storm Bee, although the eBock was definitely developed specifically with motocross in...

    The Storm Bee is out!

So much awesome sauce happening here! Thanks for sharing armean79! I'm very curious about the Boost feature on the controls. Have you tried it? Can you foresee bypassing the switch with an aftermarket piece so the "boost" is just permanently on? For motocrossers like myself, having to pull an...

    Storm Bee

Just noticed that they are offering an optional 19 rear wheel rather than the 18 they've been showing. A little more MX friendly now.

    Storm Bee

Ride it, take a rest, maybe recharge, ride it some more. No different than an Alta or ICE bike in that regard. Quick swap battery would be sweet. Whether it can handle the rigors of a motocross track with a full-sized rider (instead of their tiny test riders) is a different matter. My guess is...

    Storm Bee

According to Volition.com (an Australian Sur-Ron dealer) here's the latest on expected Storm Bee delivery dates: "When is the bike going to be available in Australia? Due to some severe supplier issues in China, Sur Ron (China) is expected to begin the production in July 2020. Volition will be...

Bike won’t wake up - BCU Repair

That's a bummer, cuz that track looks sweet! And you're in Maui?! Not a bad place to be quarantined.

    Gas Gas

Rieju is the company that acquired the manufacturing facility/equipment. Looks like it will continue the current Gasgas models for 2021, just like SWM did with Husky when KTM purchased them. Welcome to motoaventura!

    Storm Bee

Your insights are definitely helpful and worth considering, but I think the enthusiasm for e-motos right now far exceeds the interest in build quality. You're right, the current versions of the Storm Bee prototype do not look ready for, say, AMA professional competition. But most people...

    Storm Bee

News and updates from Sur-Ron seem to have pretty much stopped since the coronavirus outbreak. Really hope this is just a bump in the road for China and that they can get their economy back on track.

Nothing all that new or different, but this latest vid has me frothing. Can't wait to see some footage from a different MX facility or terrain with a pro-level rider.

I'd mentioned that before. Being that it's Alibaba and it seems many of their descriptions need to be read with an enormous grain of salt, it seems Jiesute simply copy/pasted the specs and photos from the KTM Freeride E. I messaged with the seller (Jiesute [a sizable online...

    Storm Bee

Last week I messaged with the Alibaba seller (and I believe manufacturer), Jiesute, about the Storm Bee. They said they will begin selling the bike in March. Of course, their Alibaba page says it's available now, but time is relative I guess. Just FYI.

Yeah, I'm curious about the air-cooling. Will that effect battery-life? Do air-cooled batteries shut down if they get too hot? MX tracks don't provide a whole lot of speed to generate proper forced air...I wouldn't think.

    Storm Bee

Nice find! Although it looks like they mixed some copy and images for the KTM Freeride-E in there too, which makes me wonder about the legitimacy of that listing.

Show me the pics of your most favorite bike!

Wow! Beautiful conversion. How much does it weigh? How much did the conversion costing? I really think there will be a huge market for these if any company is ever smart enough to create a standard option; all the components required to switch to electric the can just fit into any modern MX...

    Storm Bee

That's a really good way of looking at it! If the bike can handle the rigors of motocross, then it should be able to handle most other challenges. There's a reason why most off-road bike designs are based off of with MX platforms.
