    Stark Battery Tech Thread

There have been quite some novel engine designs being pulled out of history to power drones. A lott of engine types have many pro's like good fuel economy, near perfect balance, lightweight, few moving parts, very cheap etc etc. Almost all suffer from longevity issues. But when the object you're...

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

True, but the time and proof of concept that propelled ASMR was done by a small group of people. Only after that scale hit. They had the "luck" to get huge investors behind them. It was a startup that got supplied the big R&D money by companies like Intel, not those companies, that got the chip...

Mass in anything brings mass inertia. Big companies have the mass to invest, but have struggle to get things done fast. Small companies are often way more capable of getting stuff done, but lack the capability to scale up. Also 1 poor decision can run such company to the ground. That's why...

Other Bikes about helmets standards, lifespans and how they are sold

I have that helmet (multiple) and am very pleased with it. The MIPS like system works really well. However i spend just under 200 euro for it on 24MX. Not in those fancy colours though.

That would be a great back-up for when you crash the phone. Now just something to activate that. The MX buttons somehow are less prone to sticking (oddly since it is the same). Also it sticks out less.

DOT has a very different approach to ECE. DOT has to withstand greater impacts, twice on the same specified spot... ECE focusses more on rotational impact. It also depends on what you're doing on dirtbikes. If it's technical Enduro or tight sand tracks speeds are very low and little impact...

    General electronic wheelie assist

The VCU is not Bluetooth connected. The phone is just a display.

    General electronic wheelie assist

KTM has it on ICE streetbikes. Shouldn't be to hard in E bikes.

Stark In need of a dealer who works on a Stark

Complain to Stark about this dealer. A drivetrain is a few hours work. If they can't fit in that time maybe you can't fit in spending money at their place. Sometimes dealers need to be reminded about that. If they did a good/quick job you would like them and probably spend something on gear...

    Gummy tires? Tire recommendations?

@Chaconne It are pretty much the stock tyres on those bikes. After that they are hard to get except for OEM parts. FIM is the big Euro organisation and mostly they prescribe a max thread dept of 14mm on rear tyres. You can find a lott of tyres that are in a FIM compliant and non compliant with...

The pointed object part is mostly in the front area and aimed at road debris being shot at the rider. Think small rocks and such.

    Gummy tires? Tire recommendations?

''The Stark is heavier''... While not untrue i don't think it matters. The weight gap between a Stark and most 300 2 strokes is about a camel back filled with water and a hefty lunch. Rider weight differences puts that weight gap between bikes within rounding errors. I'm also from the EU, IRC...

    Gummy tires? Tire recommendations?

If it's rock riding and max grip you're after it's hard to beat the Michelin Extreme. It melts away though, but plenty grip. In your case i would not go to such soft gummy. Just a soft or a medium Enduro tyre.

In MX you might be right. Not so much in street riding. And ECE only cares for street riding. And MX speeds are way higher. Crashes of 50+ km/h are common. Not to say you can't learn from one another, just know it's comparing apples to oranges.

    JARV-E (enduro)

Is Jarvis allowed to do this with his Husqvarna contract? Or has that ended? Also that's a very tiny battery for it's capacity. Wishfull thinking or some fast advancing tech? This has business of being on a MX track for sure. But i can see this being a weapon in places like Erzberg, Pascuet...

Which aftermarket rear chain guard do you recommend?

I think i would go stock again. This has taken one for the team instead of your swingarm itself. Aftermarket stuff tends to be really strong.

Indeed. Take a footbal, bicycle and MC helmet. Put a bowling ball in them and throw them out of a driving car. I've been looking into those well vented bicycle helmets as well for Hard Enduro, but some people i know who did Down Hill mtb (from the Netherlands, go figure a more out of place...
