Power Modes: What do you use?

For low level motocross, I mainly use three non-advanced maps, all with 40% regen braking: • 42 HP for when the track is slippery or very worn, • 48 HP is the usual map, • 51 HP is for when I feel that the flow in the track is unusually good. The first times I used the bike, since the power...

    Advance modes for MX1.0

I've noticed an interesting comment from the official Stark Future YouTube channel under their new video about how to wash the bike: link to highlighted comment. They say they expect to deliver the update for advanced features for the 1.0 this month or maybe January.

Official video tutorial about cleaning the Varg

    • If you don't wash the surfaces under the plastics by pouring water onto them like they do here, IMO it will be very hard to clean the connectors properly and therefore it will be easy for dirt to end up into the connectors in case you want to disconnect them for some reasons, like periodic...

    Don's lightweight conversions

I've never converted any bike but I think I know the answer: if it's a non swappable battery, it has to have a shape that lets you install it into the frame when you build the bike; if it' a swappable battery, it should also be easy to install onto and uninstall from the bike. Don't you guys...

Are you faster on the Varg

I've never measured laptimes but I have the feeling that I'm faster especially because I ride it more. My theory is this: motocross is a time and money consuming activity and that's why I, like many people, don't ride as much as I'd like to; in my case, not even half as much as I'd like to...

HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

Hello, welcome and thank you for having found the time to write this. I hope I haven't given you the impression that I wanted to attack your company: I would feel very sorry for that. I honestly didn't even know that Nina was the co-founder, I just thought that she was sharing information about...

HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

There is freedom of speech, not to be confused with freedom of insult, of course. It seems to me that most of the conversation in this thread is constructive and realistic. Talarias and Surrons are not the most performant bikes and yet I doubt that anybody who has written negative things about...

GabaTech conversion kits and converted, ready to use, motorcycles

I've just noticed an electrc dirtbike in this video: and I've found out this company. Am I missing something or what they sell looks overpriced, considering the specifications? They mention: • IPSM motor, that apparently is an ironless motor that reduces iron losses, a concept still not so...

I really hope that Stark will repair batteries like this!

HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

You are asking for quite some trust here. Can you please explain why you think that? Do you feel like commenting something about the frame and swingarm, too? Press release tests and lot of videos in which people rode it hard successfully, back then, was way better than the unknown to me. Here...

HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

I don't know those suspensions and I can't confirm nor deny what you have written, but surely the user wants to be reassured that the bike can be considered capable of withstanding violent landings before committing to some big jumps. I know that both Alta and Stark have done tests like the...

HVR MX2 99kg Fullsize MX and HVR 85Pro 85cc Size Bike from Germany

I've read the datasheet: 78 V, so they should have chosen their name better: HVR stands for High Voltage Racing. One advantage of a bike like this compared to a conversion is that it has been done neatly from people who presumably have experience; the company may be new (I don't know) but the...

Winter time - keeping the battery safe

Not tried anything like that, since in my garage the temperature is always warm enough. Whatever you choose to do, if I were in your shoes, in the first hours and then in the first days after having done it, I would check that the temperature doesn't become too hot, especially if the heating...

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

Well, the patent file date is from 2022. I think those patents are for what we already have on our Vargs; in case you've never noticed the valve, look between the orange power connector and the bus connector of the battery.

    Stark Varg SM

That Jaume Gaya is indeed a top level rider; here are some results from the 2024 Supermoto of Nations (dry race so the laptimes were not affected by weird conditions); just select the event S1oN Carole. In qualifying he did 1:40.5 while Schmidt 1:37.2, so pretty good. Maybe you don't know who...

Arkenstone keeps turning on with bike off

I don't know about the Arkenstone, but the original Stark phone is directional: there is actually a recess in the top left of the docking station barpad foam where the buttons are supposed to rest and as far as I remember, the phone charges only if oriented correctly.

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

@ Beagle: yes, actually in my evaluation there was a mistake: the current cells have only one side contacting the magnesium case and, considering that and considering that they wouldn't arrange 26120 cells side by side like that, the casting modulus is better for 26120 cells.
