I squeeze it. It works for me. One thigh ahead of the other.

General mountain biking as a cross training for motocross

The 2-wheel control skills are the same. You can do more tricks on a bicycles than on a motorcycle. They learned to do wheelies, front and back flips on bicycles way before they did it on a dirt bike.

General mountain biking as a cross training for motocross

I used to mountain bike 2x a week and do MX 1x a week when I was getting back into the sport after a 12-year break. I did it in Arizona in winter and in Michigan in summer, sometimes in winter too, on studded tires. I even used a 20-lbs weighted vest to make it more interesting. I could not do...

General mountain biking as a cross training for motocross

Mountain biking is an excellent cross-training for motocross. There is nothing better. Motocross is a high-intensity anaerobic sport. The heart rate is high. It burns sugar, not fat. You need to combine it with aerobic training like long low-HR training to maintain your baseline health and...

    My YZ Electric conversion build

I have rotated the images. Not sure why the orientation got messed up, I might have had forum software issues.

    Don's lightweight conversions

Just wanted to share that @DonCox builds such fun electric conversions! Last week I got to ride his electric 2005 CRF250R conversion. I am not the guy who enjoys joy-riding or even test-riding other people's bikes. I am cautious, and if something doesn't feel quite right, I slow down and bring...

The FiM has Neutered the Stark for WSX

On the last lap, he came short on a double and went over the handlebars. Luckily, he seemed to be okay because he was able to get up and finish the race.

The specs on the MX2 bike are pretty much exactly what Dust Moto is building. The Fast Ace suspension is not for jumping, though. https://www.hvr-bikes.com/bikes-e/mx2-e/

General About the SPAM Attack today

Hi Electric Dirt Riders, I wanted to drop a quick update here to let you all know about a little hiccup we had today. Our forum got targeted by spammers who managed to post over 200 messages in just a few hours. But don't worry, we've got this handled smoothly and swiftly. We've purged all...

The FiM has Neutered the Stark for WSX

The positive side of having poor traction control, or not enough of the "virtual flywheel," is that you can save the bike in the air from a sure endo by opening the throttle wide. This works on gas bikes, too, but electric bikes are a lot more effective at this. This is partially because you...

The FiM has Neutered the Stark for WSX

All modern dirt bikes have some type of traction control. Have you heard Yamaha 4-strokes sputter at WOT as if hitting the rev limiter, even though it is still accelerating? This is traction control kicking in. The Alta has traction control that did not allow the motor to spin up too quickly...

The FiM has Neutered the Stark for WSX

Too much power is not a bad thing if there is good traction control. It looks like Stark is still struggling with traction control in flat corners and the virtual flywheel settings in the whoops.

    RFN SX-e60

Maybe there is a place in he low-end market, but hardcore factory-supported racing is what the Japanese did to establish themselves as market leaders back in the 70's. They hired Roger De Coster, and the rest is history. Then Honda and others did the same. Before that, everyone was riding clunky...

I hope they also copy the KYB suspension internals, hire a few retired pro riders, start a racing team, and win a few races. That's my advice.
